Kicking/decision making is a huge concer but like his run and one percenters.
-
hardly noticed today
Did nothing apart from consistently turn it over.

6 Jones
5 Green
4 Howe
3 Sylvia
2 Grimes
1 Trengove
-
It maybe bad karma but Collingwood, West Coast and to a lesser extent the Bulldogs under Rhode did it. It is how it is presented to the players that is important.
Melb's problems can be laid fairly and squarely in the hands of recruiting and player development.

Can't believe some want Sellar out. Did a good job for mine. I'd drop Garland, for Watts and bring Gysberts in for Bail.

Any good midfield coaches in the draft?

Love to know what the coach is thinking in setting up our forward line. Directionless.
-
The Stephane Martin Experience is back, as is Gysberts.
-
6 Jones
5 Watts
4 Jamar (I'm surprised at the lack of love in the votes. He dominated and was the reason we won so many clearances.)
3 Clark
2 Rivers
1 McDonald.
-
Good: Jones, Clark, Jamar, defenders kicking goals, Sylvia bursting through packs. Davey looking better. Blease's goal. Watts. Dunny's torp. Sellar. JT's last quarter mark.
Bad: Magner's first half. Tom Mc Donald's disposal, Clark's injury, Brent Moloney.
Ugly: $cully family.

Tom Mac's kicking is atrocious.
Magner looks horrible.
Sylvia, Clark, Mckenzie, Jones, Sellar, Dunn etc have been good.

6. Rivers.
5. Watts
4. Grimes
3. Howe
2. Nicholson
1. Tapscott/Jones/Garland
As for the Trengove comments. I thought he played a solid game. Linked up well, ran all night. Hard at it.
-
So if Bartram didn't play on Dalhuis last match who did?
-
Why is Bartram escaping the axe? Bloke (Dalhuis) who's played 15 games flogged him.
OUT: MacDonald, McDonald, Bartram, Sellar, Dunn.
IN: Sylvia, Grimes, Martin, Petterd and a backman who can kick a ball to a team mate from 15 metres.
-
We will lose by five goals. Tiger midfield far superior to ours.
-
In retrospect, one of the stupidist decisions we've made. His presence would have been invaluable last season.

Nicholson's disposal is so, so atrocious.
There were some good signs, Jones at times looked like a top 50 player. Bate looked better. Clark will be good. They ran out the game. Just need some silk in the midfield.
-
Interesting insights boys. Have to agree though, Nicholson will not make a player while his kicking is like it is.
It is atrocious!
-
Watts has the skills as does Trengove, Jurrah, Sylvia and possibly Viney.
Jamar and Frawley have already made AA so they will up there.
Blease, Gysberts, Bennell and Cook have time to develop into excellent players.
-
I think you have it right, his job and the way he goes about it at present reminds me of Frawley when he first started, he had pace and was learning to just do a shut down role. Helping out teammates and doing some grunt work. Once Frawley gained confidence to defend, he then he started being more and more creative as his confidence built. it may happen for Strauss.
I like Strauss effort tonight, there seems to be a lot of team work happening in our backline and Rivers, Frawley are starting to team ok with him there.
I reckon the coaches are happy as he is developing his weaknesses at present. Actually thought the same about Cale last night and neither set the world on fire mind you.
While Strauss did some useful things, his opponent got 20 touches and kicked two goals.
I thought he and Nicholson vied for worst-on-ground honours.

6. Frawley
5. Petterd
4. Martin
3. Sylvia
2. Moloney
1. Maric (good first half)
Jones, Green, Jurrah, garland and Trengove were also useful
-
On form I'd replace Nicholson, Strauss and possibly Morton.
To come in? No idea!
-
Good was the cohesion in the forward line. Petterd. Stef Martin. Maric's first half. Sylvia and Trengove streaming towards goal.
Bad was the last quarter, Gysberts disposal and Jones' moustache.
Ugly was Nicholson's game apart from a decent goal he was caught regularly, gave away frees and scrubbed many of his kicks.
-
6 Trengove
5 Watts
4 Petterd
3 Howe
2 McKenzie (tried but was well beaten)
1 Martin (even though he was flogged in the ruck contests and DE was poor.)

Neeld's modus operandi appears to be contested ball. So I'd imagine he would look very closely at trading Bennell, Morton, Watts, Martin, Jurrah and Davey. Then there are guys such as Petterd, that have some currency.
