Welcome to Demonland: Harvey Langford
Deez21 replied to spirit of norm smith's topic in Melbourne Demons
Spoke to someone high up at the Power and they do not do draft analysis on other top picks. They said that if it's true Lindsay went where he did, and he's not a top 5 pick, the only explanation would be it's the greatest crop of mids you'll see. He'd be a top 5 mid in any other draft -
One thing I have noticed about this forum however, is that anyone who a) Dares to point out there is something wrong with the club or b) Dares to provide any information about it Gets attacked relentlessly. What's the second one about. Oh and c) Gets a WARNING for innocently mistakenly naming one person they didn't know not to because they're new but hey what's a little fun without autocracy

I would also like it to be publicly known that I have never taken money to voice an opinion on here, but I would be very willing to be someone's mouthpiece for any price. Does not have to be a lot

If it is, then that same pick for McAdams is an absolute howler from the club

Cornes is absolutely spot on here, and anyone who puts this down to a media bashing has way too much faith in the club. I’m all for accommodating a family request but the club at every right to tell ANB he signed a deal, and we will only let go for maximum value. He is more valuable to us as a player, then the pick he his worth in a trade a straight swap for a bloke who can’t kick 25 meters is pretty much where our list management is at right now

I understand this is some sort of superdraft but the picks in the teens going to have less and less value as the academy picks come in the club willing to lose it’s future pick shows were not 100% aware of where we stand right now this will be another jackson scenario in reverse where the trading club will think the pick is going to be teens but is actually going to be a gift of a high pick for another team Dangerous territory right now to be playing with our future first unless you’re getting a player in right now to improve us

I think Dan Houston answered the question for us. our biggest fish right now is an uncapped GWS VFL player we can’t even land Lever and May are really the last big gets I can think of. I remember watching the doco “show me the money” And they spoke about how our pitch to Cerra was so impressive. Where is that Melbourne demons? we won a premiership in 2021 and the list of recruits since then is not very pretty. you want to be a destination club. Fix Your culture. And take it seriously. ofherwise you’ll keep missing the big names that would’ve taken us to another premiership

I’m hoping this is a case of geelong not giving up and not Pert STILL shopping him around after everyone confirmed on Friday night he’s not leaving
-
Yep they had periods of the season where Taylor Buckley and Aliir were out and ended up playing Keefe in a final can see why Dersken would feel hard done by Coach and list manager should have a chat
-
Just check in on this with the original source and it seems that GWS are pretty adamant they will not trade him Too Important to lose a versatile tall during a window. Unless they are able to find their own replacement (himmelberg already rejecting them) I’m not sure how we can get this done.

McCartney once in a while likes to play this tough guy act after letting plenty leave and then randomly tell someone they have no interest in they can’t go to send a message would be awful to do that considering their situation. I remember they did it to Bobby Hill ill try find out more

It’s certainly going to be news to the club when homesick Kozzie who wants to go home to his family in WA ends up at Port Adelaide
-
It’s just unbelievable how ONCE again, less than a month after the petracca debacle, the club has bungled another big call who is running the show. Were Somehow a bigger basket case than we were during the Neeld era

Absolute clown club On Sunday night Clarry and the coaches were absolutely positive about the future at Melbourne today he’s on the way to Geelong and it won’t be for much either there is nothing functional about the club right now nor is there anything to be proud of.

And if the board is shopping around players the FD wants to keep then what?
