  1. Could his management part ways with him over this?
  2. It's referring to another player Connors manages, who was considering taking up a grievance to get out of a contract, not a separate circumstance that Petracca has considered.
  3. He is ruining the likelihood of other clubs wanting him
  4. BARRETT: 'Brand Petracca' takes a hit amid superstar's silence - https://www.afl.com.au/news/1207084
  5. Doesn't Gerard go for Geelong? Also, a bit of a conflict of interest commenting on the status of a player who is a panelist on your show..
  6. I have lots of sympathy for what he has gone through but that is not an excuse to leak to the media.
  7. Doesn't it damage your brand and reputation? Surely other clubs don't want that?
  8. What is the best thing the club could do now?
  9. https://x.com/DanielCherny/status/1828015855936086260?ref_src=twsrc^google|twcamp^serp|twgr^tweet From article: "Red flags emerged on Petracca. Former Saints list manager Ameet Bains and recruiter Tony Elshaug started to question whether Petracca would fit their environment. Why did the psych test reveal an eagerness for Petracca to promote himself ahead of teammates? Were there selfish traits? Did his antics at the 3km time-trial – ensuring everybody knew he was sore – highlight immaturity? A lack of mental strength? How come he completed extra training in isolation instead of with teammates? Petracca seemed to enjoy attention. Would his personality blend in at St Kilda?"
  10. 5 years later we were in a grand final.
  11. He, or someone close to him, is leaking to the press. It's messed up.
  12. Maybe I should have said a ruck who can forward. TDK. But for the record I don't think either are going to want to be traded.
  13. I agree. I have sympathy if this is about his injury and the trauma associated with it. But if this is just about playing to bigger crowds and cracking the sads because we put our arms around a troubled player then he can get lost. I'd much rather an in form Clarry, vines and Rivers in the midfield. If we managed to get a proper forward who could ruck then I wouldn't mind so much. This should never have gone on this long and if tracc's management had any sensibility they would have handled this way better. This makes the club look so bad and it's just not right.
  14. That wasn't the semi that was during the season. The semi was acres goal when we did panic. So cathartic watching the blues lose by a kick with 33 seconds left.
  15. Yep for all the hate Goody gets I think he is responsible for mending the situations with both Petty and Oliver. And as much as I dislike Tom Morris, the first time he reported on Tracc's unhappiness he was at pains to add that it had nothing to do with the coach.
  16. There is no way TDK comes to Melbourne. As if Carlton would part with him, and I doubt he'd want to leave.
  17. And then he was gone.
  18. Ummmm, McGuire and Kennett both put their foot in it on a number of occasions when they fronted the media. I would argue it's better she doesn't.
  19. I have friends that worked with her in local government and they said she is wonderful and does a lot of work behind the scenes.
  20. If someone is in Noosa posting on tiktok while you're losing games to Fremantle by 50 points, you might be forgiven for thinking they are doing ok, despite their injuries. They obviously knew how awful tracs injuries were, but they didn't know how much it had affected him mentally. This may have been because he didn't tell them. These journalists are now trying to make this issue worse. Maybe they are the bad advice he's been apparently listening to. Can't they see that the team are trying their best to improve things?
  21. Omg. Can the negative Nancy's go share somewhere else? This is such good news and the journos spreading false information have egg on their faces.

That's so sad. His poor family. I really liked him on midweek tackle. He seemed like a nice guy.
  23. I'm not sure if Caro or anyone else for that matter, understand the complexities around mental health - perhaps Tracc hadn't felt comfortable opening up about the seriousness about his issues and perhaps had asked for sensitivity around this. It's very likely that Max and the FD didn't feel comfortable passing on that information. The impression the players may have got was that he was having fun in Noosa while they were struggling on the field, particularly at Casey. Things can get misinterpreted, despite good communication. The lack of nuance in footy journalism is astounding sometimes.
  24. Pretty positive report aside from this caveat: "There are concerns he is receiving advice outside of the club"
