Something significantly stronger than bathwater I'm afraid.

Jurrah in the air for me. But, yes, it was odd they didn't show any footage of shots on goal/ground-ball gathers in that package despite a return of 73 goals from 23 matches.
-
Check the SANFL footage and stats. Runs wide to create space. A poor-man's Stretch and not what we need right now.

Is this an exceptionally subtle dig at @Nasher?

Sambano sounds promising with '32 goals from 11 games (. . . ) who won the NEAFL Rising Star Award, is super-talented and will appeal to AFL clubs due not only to his goalkicking instincts but his tackling pressure'. But do we take a risk down the mature-age path with a 20y/o? And then there's Liam Ryan, who won the Bernie Naylor: 73 goals from 23 games and clocking 2.89 seconds across 20 metres as a 'human high-light reel'- but an even greater risk at 21 years old. Do these clips remind him of anyone . . . specifically someone once in the red and blue? And a few other freakish talents up north and probably available to boot. I hope we take a punt and feel that we are in a prime position to do so. Go Dees!

Hey willmoy. What's your favourite flavour from the Daintree Ice Cream Company? I can't get enough of their wattle-seed personally. Or do you prefer that other mob up the road?

Hear hear DS. Nat's kicking was an absolute revelation early in the year when he had relief in the middle and switched to the semi-outside/half-back. And exactly what we need in terms of penetrating, line-breaking kicks. It soured somewhat later in the season due to the above-mentioned reasons, but among the forward-turnovers trying to force the ball, their were still plenty of instances where he got us out of a jam at half-back in tight matches.

Paints a certain picture . . .

I am envious of Port's list on paper for the upcoming season (including Watts). Absolutely chock-full with potentially damaging players. They're out to snatch a flag to keep the Le Fevre ferals at bay. And they may well slip one in considering this past year and the current crap-shoot premiership climate. But they are on a course toward long-term hurt. I am far happier with the list at Melbourne as a recipe for sustained success. A mansion with double-bays overlooking an inspiring vista, rather than brief peek through a narrow window. Would suck to be a Bulldogs supporter right now - despite overcoming their drought. I wouldn't give up what we have for that sweet sweet sip of relief if it meant another 40 years in the desert. Content enough that I'm even willing to mix my metaphors into a big, over-excited jumble.

Have I introduced you to my mate @grey wolf yet willmoy? I feel like you guys would hit it off for some reason. Unfortunately our other friend @Deeluded was a gateway victim and won't be able to join us I'm afraid.

Please don't mention any desserts featuring cream on the top as you'll only make it worse.

So we finally have clarity on @Maple Demon's odd interest in our lowly, far-flung aerial volleyball club?

Didn't know who Lee was but assumed by the thread title he'd be yet another middling KPF saviour brought in by the doggies to perpetuate their Bernie Quinlan curse. In that sense, I'm disappointed.

I don't want to pour fuel on the fire during these divisive times, but I think \ is a far better option for us.

Entering the final day of Trade Week, what out-of-the-box surprises would people love to see us pull off?
-
In a nut-shell. But as I've maintained while critisising Jack in the past, I don't consider his particular on-field traits as a mental weakness or personality flaw. In his own way, he's probably more well-rounded than the majority of footy-players, supporters, and the general public. But an admirable philosophy on life-work balance doesn't win flags. Potentially deranged individuals like Jack Viney win flags.

Oddly circumspect and sentimental from you Picket . . . Oh, wait. That's the Picket we all LOVE!!!!!!!

I quietly secured Track-y McTrackmark amid a flurry of high-profile lodgements late on closing on page one of competition-week. We feel it provides some of the deft touch currently missing from the list and will ultimately stand the test of time as a reliable and consistent performer. Further, in consultation with AFL House, I have now been handed my own prize* *There is no prize

We should pass for 15 rounds and then pick our last intended target at #685 - just to nullify the sort of expectations that Watts and Trengove have had to suffer through. And if he breaks into the team, then we'll have the draft steal of the century.
-
This is all true. Except that I don't personally agree that it's a huge gamble. We have amazing young talent still developing and have brought in more over the trade period. If Oliver continues to improve at the rate he has then his contribution alone will outweigh any losses in this perceived gamble. Hopefully we can unearth some more classy users along the way, but I think there are many good reasons to be optimistic for our near future. Go Dees!

Please please tell me Cristian's manager is holding us over the barrel on his four-year deal. 626 × 324 - mlp.wikia.com

Bobby - I was posting in regards to reading supporters rubbishing the club in a twitter post welcoming Harley Balic to the MFC - a young man looking for a fresh start with our club. People are lauding Jack Watts' class but are themselves failing to display anything of the sort. I don't claim to understand it, but it's your prerogative if you so choose to write privately to the club about your feelings. Although, I'm still staggered by the stance of some of our older members who have been for so long starved of success when the MFC are attempting to alter a culture of mediocrity from the past. Maybe they've gone about it wrong - anyone is entitled to that opinion. But it's fair to say that whatever we have been doing for the past fifty years hasn't worked. I would rather us to be bald and burn in flames than continue to fizzle out in irrelevance. Again, just an opinion.

Finally. An abstract riddle to solve during trade week. But the deadline is looming and 'Come on Red Legs' to 'A F' currently has me stumped. Amaranth Feet?

In the standard post-trade-circus wash, media and footy pundits will be handing out A's and B+'s to the MFC in a very shallow pointy end at the top of the class. Several consecutive years of above-average grades. Assign whatever value to their collective opinions you wish to, but outside-looking-in has some merit in this instance when the emotion of currency and personalities are a step removed.
