Let's not bury the lede here. Is Clarry getting selected to play in the Opening Round match against the Swans? It's time to fully welcome him back into the fold.

Thoughts on Schache's performance?

I understand that Jefferson has had an interrupted/modified preseason but from all reports he has integrated back into the main group over the last few sessions. I'd like to see him get plenty of forward minutes in these games against the better opposition defenders to see what he has to offer. With injuries to BBB, TMac, Petty & Fullarton the pin might need to be pulled on him earlier than we might have liked. Let's see what he can do.

Felt a bit empty after that win but happy to take home the important 4 points. I don't want to even contemplate the negatives from the game yet and I'm sure you'll cover them so I'll go with the positives. Small forwards hit the scoreboard. Chandler 3 and Kozzy 2. Feel like Chin is way ahead of Spargo. Love the Podcast boys. Keep up the great work.

Our leaders were huge in the last and dragged us over the line. Gawn was back to being Gawn, Melky was clutch and our Bulls in Viney and Petracca had massive impact. Getting lost in all the emotion of the incredible victory is the work of Gus. I thought he was excellent and was involved heavily in some important stoppages. He has been impactful since his return to the midfield in the absence of Clayton Oliver and back to playing some of his best footy in 2023 after a quiet and unmemorable start to the season. He was great on the wing in 2021, he was superb in defence in 2022. When Clarry inevitably returns where do you see Gus playing and what is his best role for the club going forward. Sorry for the long question. Love the podcast.

Me all afternoon.

Geelong were also lucky to play two interstate teams at the MCG (one who is notorious for not being able to win there [mostly])

Goodwin does not tag players anymore no matter how damaging they are in the game.

Death Riding Fremantle 2023 - Feathered Cap Edition
mandeelorian replied to adonski's topic in Melbourne Demons
I really hope that in the last round the Swans aren't in a position where they can't go up and therefore affecting there draft position so that they just lay down for us. We also don't want them to go down (below Freo) by us beating them. -
Thank god you guys are back I needed some therapy after last weeks devastating loss in the Alice and I had no podcast to provide me solace. Appreciate the mini pod you provided though. Thanks Andy and Binman. What did you guys think of Woey Jnrs game? I thought he did a few nice things with his 12 possessions which incidentally was the same amount as Nibbler and 1 more than Brown and Spargo, 2 more than Melksham and 8 more than Kozzy. I was willing that goal home as much as anybody. I really hope they don't just dump him after one match as we often do.

Another fantastic podcast boys. The drive to Shep this morning just flew by. Spot analysis of the game and well done to all the fabulous posters on this site who provided some excellent topics and questions. It is a wonderful format. We have to get the caller Beau/Bo (?) onto Demonland. I'm sure he could add a lot to this website. I don't post much but I'm an avid daily reader.

Do we want Port or Geelong to win tonight?

Thanks boys for all of your efforts on the Podcast so far this season. This is my favourite Demon's podcast and is a must listen each and every week. The longer the better. It is the highlight of my week. Yes I do have a life but I travel a lot for work and having you guys along for the ride makes the kms fly by. I would love to get the panels thoughts on which player has been the surprise packet of the year and conversely which player has not lived up to expectation (doesn't have to be negative - can be as a result of injury etc)?

We were fantastic and if not for our inaccuracy we should have won that game from anywhere between 4 to 10 goals yet our inaccuracy almost cost us the match. We were the most accurate side in the competition by a country mile in the first 9 rounds yet our inaccuracy in the past 3 to 4 matches has cost us and nearly cost us again. Any thoughts as to why drop off?

We must have been killing it a few weeks back because the last few weeks we’ve been murdered.

A couple of tough matches to tip this week.

Thanks @Demonland for another great interview. A really good insight into all of our defenders and the way we play. Troy seemed were open and honest. Seems like a smart operator.

Absolutely loving the podcast. Knocking them out of the park on a weekly basis. The analysis each weeks helps put the losses and the "ugly" wins into perspective. Would love to get the panels thoughts on Joel Smith's game and whether they think the Dees will persist. Despite not really denting the stats sheet I thought he played his small part.

What has happened to our accuracy in front of goals from set shots? Time to reopen the Chocko Williams Goal Kicking Academy.

Came for some footy talk. Got some financial advice.

I really thought Trent Rivers had an exceptional game. Possibly one of the best he has played for the club. That long range goal was just superb. He should have license to have a ping whenever he is in that position.

I don't have another question for you this week I just wanted to give you a shout out for the wonderful and insightful interview you conducted with Steven May during the week. Steven was very forthcoming and honest in his answers. Kudos to all involved in getting him on the podcast. Love your work.

I thought our forward line was in a bit of a shambles. Is the Petty experiment officially over? Surely Ben Brown has to come back in the team.

Another quality podcast last week guys. With Petty and Spargo presumably out of concussion protocols, TMac & BBB another week at Casey under their belts, Melksham kicking a bag of goals who would want to be a selector? Who's coming in and who's going out?
