Yeah it is a good little bit of interaction to chat with an extra player. Although I hope it doesn't eat into interviewing a player (eg Lachie this time) too much, because the interaction between all three was always fun and a bit eye opening. I hear they've got a more professional rig this time as opposed to just jury rigging it as well... should be an interesting season! Lol

Thought it would be nice to have a thread to discuss / organise / troubleshoot travelling for games this season. Although there is some self interest... I'm planning on going to Round 16 at Traeger Park, NT. Anybody got a crystal ball for likely game date? It'll have to be between 29 June and 2 July (rip for those of us pinned down by EOFY). Who else has travel plans?

A week or two out from the first practice match would be worst week imo. People are still slow (from the end of last year) and whilst interest is picking up there's a lot of barrel scraping for content. It also feels agonisingly far away from the proper start of things.

After telling myself that I'm making the effort to go to the Brisbane game and that I needn't watch Round 1 in person... yesterday I caved and used my railway pass to arrange a 10 hr trip down to Melbourne from Syd on Thursday night. I'll crash with some family, work the Friday, and then on Saturday prepare for all things Dees at the G!

I am excited for Richmond to have a decidedly terrible season... Mainly because in 2022 the first thing my very senior coworker (pro Tiges) said to me was that Dee fans are obnoxious, can't go the distance and we won't win again for another 57 years ...No, I'm not bitter on the daily about this, why do you ask?
