  1. SEN ..AFL trades reporter matter of factly saying Jacksons gone but still a toss up between the eagles and freo as to who signs him.

I cant believe that we would take Grundy in a three way swap involving Darcy and the massive salary package  that comes with him. Pies wont compensate us.They've tried worming out of the Treloar salary dump with the bulldogs.

Thanks alot LJ. Tempting to drop him  for the finals but cant. No-one to replace him. He better play well for us before jumping ship.

    Shows how much they know!

There's 92 cm at Buller, which equates to 36 inches, not 42.

But 92 is still enough for a post GF celbratory Dees visit in late September.

Using tired old cliches just shows a lack of real sledging material by Swanees. And talking in imperial measures which went out in 1977 is weird also.

    Funny but.

Sydney is a backwater with a pretty bridge.

  3. If Jackson gets a multi million dollar deal especially at his young age he will definitely come under public& media scrutiny every game he plays. He's living in a bubble over there.

The life he obviously loves in Perth will be gone. Does he realise this.?

  4. Lived in Sydney in 1997 for 6 months. Probably the most overrated city on the planet. Weather doesnt bother me but it rained heavily almost every evening i was there.

Why do we still have these stupid ski jokes. If you surveyed 1000 people at Bulla   i bet Hawks, Blues even Pies supporters will dominate.

There are loads of rich Collingwood supporters. I remember many were at Melbourne Grammar. Some of the most prominent lawyers and surgeons are pies fans .

    Dees by 6 goals.

  5. He'd have to play a couple of blinders to be considered for call up. Melksham is locked in.

If he plays well and we get injuries then he might have a chance.  Funny things happen in finals.

The hunger that Hunt and Melksham have for a flag could be the difference this year.

Tough on Yze. Deserves a top job

Why?  He's got a top job as an assistant coach at Melbourne surrounded by top people going for B2B premierships. Who the hell would want to coach  mangled clubs like GWS and Essendon. Career killer.

Stay at Melbourne build up an impressive CV then make a move 2023/4. Geelong could be available if they go out in straight sets again. I cant stand Geelong but AFL is a ruthless business.

'I prefer your disco blue away strip to the traditional darker blue of your home strip"

Apparently petty hates the word strip being used instead of jumper.

'Bloody soccer term is strip' he apparently said in response to Zorko's sledge.

    That made him cry  ?

What was actually said, does anyone know.

As for our away jumper i think all AFL away jumpers look absurd.  Never liked that lighter blue MFC jumper. I bet Barassi wouldnt want one. Carltons looks like 1970's underwear.

  8. Would rather win the Normie in the winning GF team than the Brownlow. Basically a fashion parade with all the players wives and/ or girlfriends flopping about on red carpet.

Remember Jo Bailey and Steven Silvagni arriving at the Brownlow. Sam Newman could barely control himself. Years later there was ( i think) Judd with a dropdead gorgeous woman under his  arm. I had to go and take a cold shower.

Collingwood have consistently won despite losing all the usual statistical categories that winning teams usually win.  Contested possession, clearance and inside 50s to name a few.  They don't fit the premiership model but it doesn't seem to bother them and they keep winning.  Definitely a threat.

yep.....luck of the irish x 10.  Massive crowds egging on each other to make a deafening noise.

Intimidates & rattles the players and umps except the Pies of course. Similar to European soccer. Collingwoods army is enormous . I hope its not a factor in September.

  10. Best results week 1

    Dees Pies  Lions and Freo..

Eliminate Richmond  and Bulldogs asap. Theyre both dangerous for different reasons . Tigers have very recent premiership experience and a strong forward line.

Bulldogs have Bont and 3 umpires. They did it in 2016  unlikely this year but dont take the risk.

Hate Geelong 100 fold over grubby but lucky Pies. Geelong to go out in straight sets.

3/4 time 1987 R 22 John Sell told the players the Hawks were home.

    It certainly helped.

Jason Dunstall won that game for them at Kardinia Park (i think)

Allegedly  dees bought him loads of booze and pizza. ..maybe  lol

Does anyone know if its possible Carlton  can lose and still make the 8 on % as Bulldogs are now 8th with 0.1 % margin. Thats almost nothing.

Walsh out is a blow but he did nothing last week anyway. Lets just hope the hawks can beat dogs as I think Carlton played their final last week. I hate to say it but the filth will probably win. Unlike others I would like to play the filth first up and to give those low life amoebas a good thrashing.

Almost every dees defender has put in some spud games this year but would you drop lever ? Impossible. Its a tough competition.

Walsh out would be a huge loss for the baggers.

  13. If Walsh out i dont think Carlton can sustain all these injury problems any longer. They came out of the blocks running in R1  and didnt stop until they collapsed exhausted.

Looks like Collingwood might have this. Would be hilarious if hawks beat the The Bont Allstars.

  14. No way do ANB, Melksham even Spargo get dropped.??? Replaced by who pray tell. Theyre all cut from the MFC cloth. Theyre part of the Goodwin team plan from defence to BBB. It won us a flag  ffs. Melksham looks good for September. He's hungry for his 1st flag  and can fight on and off the field...lol.

Only concern is Salem. If he's 100% fit he plays  otherwise Bowey.

t/mac...  if we make it to the Big Dance anything is possible at the selection table but he'd have to rip into  them in the VFL first. We cant carry him in September. Melbourne is good to go!
