Training Ground?
I just don’t get this thinking - we’ve never had a home base, we get some sort of one and now people are annoyed because Caulfield gets potentially gets pushed back? Who cares - it’s a HUGE upgrade over anything we’ve ever had? What’s difficult about this - it’s the right call, if it adds a few years to Caulfield it simply doesn’t matter - would you rather something now or still nothing in seven, eight, nine, 10 years etc? It’s a no brainer

The State of the Salary Cap?
You weren't exactly banking on Oliver & May losing the plot & Brayshaw being medically retired....

2026 Injury List
This exactly - not ideal, but not the end of the world - Melksham at times was our most dangerous forward last season

2026 Injury List
- Welcome to Demonland: Thomas Matthews
Only issue was with him was he never did it anywher near enough...that's ontop of the fact thats essentially where his impact started and finished - Matthews appears to have signficantly more to his game (at least the ceiling to do so) than sprago did- Annual General Meeting
Can tell you that for a fact - this is the first time in four years in which I’ve been able to upgrade my membership as there hasn’t been places available previously…- Welcome to Demonland: Riley Onley
He did also have the first goal he kicked, drilled from outside 50 in the highlights melb put up…- Welcome to Demonland: Latrelle Sumner-Pickett
Sparrow is not exclusively a forward - nor has he ever had a role as a small, pressure, goal scoring forward? They’re two entirely different players. JVR is a forward, you didn’t compare him to him? That’s my point- Welcome to Demonland: Latrelle Sumner-Pickett
Strange- Welcome to Demonland: Latrelle Sumner-Pickett
Steele and Viney are the future, so you wouldn’t necessarily NOT pick an inside mid based on that if you highly rate them - there’s every chance they just didn’t rate sharp becoming that level of inside mid and see - to your point - opportunity next year to fill a potential need- Welcome to Demonland: Latrelle Sumner-Pickett
He was chosen then because he was well and truly gone by the time our next pick came around - that also indicates that several other teams were into him as well, not just Melbourne. Youre also comparing two entirely different players when referring to sparrow?- Welcome to Demonland: Latrelle Sumner-Pickett
He avg 10 disposals and kicked four goals in his debut (avg just under two for the games he played)….it may have been a reach but he has attributes we’re crying out for- The 2025 AFL Draft Thread
Silly question - why did it become pick 30?- AFL Draft 2025: Pick 30 (formerly 37)
Why did it become pick 30?- AFL Draft 2025: Picks 7 & 8
Totally get that - just find it odd that he said we’ll pick best avaliable rather than reach & the only mocks the have narin anywhere near the top 20 are ones that have picked up the link with Melbourne… - Welcome to Demonland: Thomas Matthews
