POSTGAME: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
One thing I would like to applaud from the club yesterday is the perceived physicality and agression our guys brought from the word go. We have complained many times how we let those thugs bully us around every time we played against them. But yesterday was for sure a step in the right direction, let's keep it that way with this mob.

Ignore them, that's my small piece of advice. Pitty them for they follow the filth. 😎

Harrison Petty
Needs to be sent to the backline. Fight for a spot with Lever and May. At the moment Disco has cemented his place down there. Stop the fwd experiment and instead work on him as May's replacement. May will probably retire after next season.

Our Recent Close Game Record
It's all very simple, we don't kick straight. It will only be harder to win close games if we can't kick more goals than behinds. It would be interesting to add to your list our and the oppositions score ratio (goals/behinds).

Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
Clarry for our 2025 first round pick straight swap?

Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
The thing is, can we still carry both of them in the midfield? it's very clear that the club is trying to evolve their game and we need better ball users. We have the old guard of JV, Clarry and Petracca. None of them is a great ball user. JV will never leave, heart and soul of the club and probably would be willing to play in whichever position is required by the club. Clarry and Petracca are less flexible position-wise. Probably Petracca could work as a Forward. I am not sure what the club will do.

Maybe Goodwin thought he could pull off a Brisbane-like season, guaranteed premiership. 😎

I thought his issue was the fractured hand?

POSTGAME: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
What do we do moving forward with our veterans in the midfield? JV, Petracca and Clarry. I think the way the game is going we need better users of the ball there. None of those 3 are unfortunately. Now with the likes of XL, Langford, McVee in our best 22. Can we realistically keep the 3 before mentioned for the long term?

PREGAME: Rd 14 vs Port Adelaide
Let's try not to give Essendon a top 5 pick at least.

Time to go Goody?
Worse part is that they are not stagnant, Fritta and JVR. They are regressing. Honestly JVR is the one major worry to me. He had shown talent and mongrel. Where's that gone? Maybe some off-field situation that is messing up with his psichy/mind, otherwise I can't understand what happened to him.

Time to go Goody?
I am referring to their current performance, both a shadow of their former selfs.

Time to go Goody?
He's been responsible (along with the rest of his staff) of making our forward line worse YOY. He has now lost JVR and Fritsch, the two most composed and accurate kicks we had.

PODCAST: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
Do we even have forwards? Fritsch was better today but still a shadow of the top 5 forward he was in 2022-2023. Melksham playing with a busted shoulder. JVR devoid of any confidence (boggles the mind what happened to him during the off season). Petty, stop the experiment please. TMac not used. Jeffo NQR yet. Turner, has found his spot in defence so just leave him there.

PREGAME: Rd 14 vs Port Adelaide
Petty should become May's replacement eventually. Stop with the experiment at Fwd.
-
PREGAME: Rd 14 vs Port Adelaide
Surely Petty is dropped? Not sure if it would be worth trying TMac at Fwd.

Time to go Goody?
The reality is that our team is as inept (historically inept at that) as they come in terms of offence/offensive efficiency. We have great players at contest and defence and Goodwin for the most part knows how to take advantage of that. However, at the enf of the da, these games are won by the numbers you put up in the scoreboard. And to me, it is not only the goal kicking (which is very bad) but also decision making/execution. To illustrate that, during the first 15 minutes of the first quarter we were having some ascendency and should've scored more goals. The one play that annoys me is that one where Melksham gets a great mark and Kozzy is running free towards goal. Then Melksham proceed to kick to a contest instead of kicking to space where most likely Kozzy had a chance to grab the ball free and in front of any defender. Some may think that's an irrelevant play but momentum is everything in Footy. You kick that goal we are up 2 goals and start to build confidence and positive energy.

Goalkicking
Is their accuracy based on high or low volume? Just need to be careful because low volume high efficiency can be misleading.

Goalkicking
As much as I love Max. It drives me crazy his spinning of the ball when he starts his set shot motion. I think that's something he should definitely get rid off, I am not expert but I think a lot of people would say that is detrimental to the whole process of trying to kick straight.

Time to go Goody?
We already lost Yze, see us lose any other promising young coach due to inaction. I still don't understand the Laurie situation. Good for VFL, not impactful at AFL. Then we use him as a sub, but offers no X factor. Gets dropped next week. Rinse and repeat.

What about bring TMac in, Lever out. Then Petty - May - Disco back line. TMac to our fwd line?

The Alice Game
North still has a better overall record in Hobart despite being bottom of the ladder for 6 years. Just slightly above 50% win percentage. We are more like just under 40%. Granted the sample size is different.
