2022 List and Contract Details
Thanks @Lucifers Hero - tremendous work! I'm speculating that Hunt and Weideman will be Unrestricted FA because I think they are unlikely to be in the top 25% of salary. As you say, it's hard to tell whether Brayshaw would be in the top 10 money earners or not - I think he's be right on the cusp. It's probably interesting too whether say Petty would be RFA or UFA on the basis of his long-term contract. https://www.afl.com.au/news/579379/restricted-free-agents-unclear-as-afl-looks-at-contract-changes

Hello 2022 Third & Fourth Round Selections
Because we rated the flexibility of having an open list position higher than we rated them.

Tonight’s Draft - The Second Crack
We've got picks until we fill our list or pass, we traded out the earlier picks for draft capital next year so we didn’t waste them this year.

Tonight’s Draft - The Second Crack
@Whispering_Jack has done a great job of updating the draft selection to come after last night's events in the post pinned at the top of the board. I searched for this elsewhere and I couldn't readily find it. Our picks have become 38, 42 and 50. I think we're planning to take 2 more selections and one of them will probably be Taj Woewodin - so I think it would make sense to try to trade these three picks for two with one earlier than 38 and one later than 50. It's not clear looking at the draft order who would be interested and could do a deal like that. Maybe one of Geelong, Richmond or North who each have 3 picks before ours, but none of them seem to have picks later with points value in case we need them for TW. Maybe we could just trade 38 and 42 for one of their picks. The other option might be to get an extra future pick with 42.

Simon Goodwin on RSN (19/11/21)
Seriously ... https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/no-winner-s-speech-but-goodwin-admits-he-questioned-coaching-future-20210926-p58uvn.html “I would’ve said to the supporters and everyone at home, ‘this is us, this is who we are,’ and they should be so proud.”

Simon Goodwin on RSN (19/11/21)
I absolutely believe it's a genuine story and I guess that says "This is me!" just about as much a your post @Skuitalso says "This is me!"

Mac Andrew
That's Luke Jackson territory - he'd want to be good!

3 More Years for Chris Scott
Their home ground advantage is probably going to prevent them from totally bottoming out and getting their hands on very early picks. It's also a disadvantage because it's so different from everywhere else it's more difficult to play a universal game style. It's a bit strange that the Cats have gone for a possession based game on the sardine can anyway - it would be harder to execute there - maybe that's the method in Scott's madness ...

AFL Trade Period
Now that Scarlett has gone from Geelong maybe they will play Clark.

Hawks on the Slide: How Mitchell is making life hard for himself
The problem for Hawthorn is that they are not going to be bad enough to get access to the pointy end of the draft for a number of years. They are looking like a 7th to 12th team and probably on the slide. A midfield of Mitchell, O'Meara, Wingard, Worpel, Impey, Shiels, Phillips, Howe - serviced by McEvoy, maybe Ceglar if he stays, and the promising Reeves is competitive without being at the top echelon. The problem here is that the core of talent is closer to the end than the start of their careers. This area is going to ultimately get worse before it gets better. The backline looks solid and has a lot of potential provided Grainger-Barras delivers on his draft position. Sicily, Day and Scrimshaw are all good players. Jiath is exciting. Frost, Hartigan and Hardwick are all capable. Bramble showed some good signs at the end of last year. This area will only improve. The forward line is more uncertain. Gunston and Breust are very good players and providing their bodies hold up will deliver the goods over the next year or two. Talls have shown some promise but are unproven - it could go either way with Koschitzke and Lewis. Moore had a very promising 2021. This area is going to get worse before it gets better. But I'd much rather be following Hawthorn than Geelong.

Welcome to Demonland: Luke Dunstan
Which number? has it been discussed? Luke had #7 - we have #22 and #27 available. I'm not sure whether #2 will be immediately available.

Welcome to Demonland - Pick 17
https://www.afl.com.au/news/679302/indicative-draft-order-your-club-s-picks-as-they-stand After all the movement so far, we've got very close to the picks the Premier would have at end of each of the first 3 rounds, plus an extra 3rd rounder in 49. I realise we have given up our 2022 1st rounder to be in this position.

Hyphenated Names
West Coast possibly making a move up the ranks: Sam Powell-Pepper, Sam Petrevski-Seton Sam Powell-Pepper, the contracted midfielder is unlikely to land at West Coast but could still be on the move if interest from other rivals progresses. The Eagles' acquisition of priority target Sam Petrevski-Seton made it hard for them to also pursue Powell-Pepper, who is contracted for two more seasons but in search of more midfield opportunities

Saturday Morning on Demonland (1)
Unlike you to pull the wrong rein WJ, but I really don't think two weeks after the club's greatest ever triumph in a Covid affected, 18 team national competition, where we finished top and smashed the finals, away from our rightful home, is the time to start headlining our greatest ignominies. Yeah we've come a long way baby - we all know that. Now's the time for countin' coz the dealins done.

3 More Years for Chris Scott
With Mitchell out shopping his only decent experienced players and getting donuts, the only good thing about Hawthorn is they are not Geelong.
- Proved them wrong

Off Season Surgeries
I'm guessing he's sticking strictly to the nightclub and alcohol treatment in Perth.

Petracca Back at It
I heard he cycled to Esperance, swam the Bight to Adelaide and then ran back into Melbourne for a post season triathlon - there's your 9 days.
