Short answer..yes

If you're mute it shouldn't stop you writing training reports.
-
I think it's just banter and I'm pretty sure Ben gives as good as he gets except he can't say a lot of it in public. I wasn't suggesting it was up to Ben, I was just pointing out he seems to not have a lot of assistance at the moment.

I have now

She is my favorite player and the fact she gave Maxy a piggy back just elevates her status.

Perhaps you're soft in the head?

I understand and it's not ideal but if you watch and look closely at the banter with Ben Gibson he is right under the pump and is trying to be the everywhere man at the moment. I think that's indicative of how under resourced that part of the Club has become. Sorry but I'm on the "just focus on the on field stuff" side of this at the moment. Get that right and the rest won't matter. Further to that; a lot of focus/ resources is going into the Woman's side at the moment and I think that's the right way to go but in a Covid world that's got to have an impact.

So Dazzle, the part of my post you highlighted was related to people posting in the thread after others in the thread had already stated it was being played at CASEY. I understand that certain people on this site have particular opinion of who and and what I am. Occasionally they should take a breath and understand what I'm saying before making a judgement simply because it's me posting. Regardless, I'll try and point out what I was talking about before moving on to what you were really asking. DD36 posted a Box Hill tweet Friday 8:21 pm stating First blood in the second half to the "hosts". An hour before that the Casey Tweet had reported this Casey Demons @CaseyDemonsFC A practice match to kick off the weekend! The boys are taking on Box Hill at Casey Fields. A couple of updates to come throughout the night. 7:34 PM · Mar 12, 2021 Sorry to throw rjay under the bus but around 8: 33 this was posted in reply to Matt Demon "Same, if it's at City Oval in Box Hill. I was just around the corner from there around 7pm". In rjays defence, you don't know what you don't know. Matt Demon put rjay straight informing them it was at Casey. Next morning around 1130 a poster replies to Binman and says "And, on top of all that, I've been following the Training Reports and all the news and gossip and live within 300 metres of the Box Hill Ground. Had I known I would have dragged my three week old new right knee along and found a comfy chair and watched it." I know, I know, I'm just too harsh a critic. Now for what you were really focused on but didn't understand in my post or just honed in on what you thought you could attack and ignored the rest. Goody mentioned the game in his presser after the Dogs game but didn't specify Friday just later in the week. Pretty sure I read something in the little paper and then there was some discussion in a private Demons Facebook group I'm involved with. Sorry can't be more helpful. In any case I agree with you it wasn't posted on the MFC site and I've explained my thinking on that. In a perfect world everything should appear in one place example the Calendar on the website. The Upcoming Event list here use to be good for that but now only seems to be full of Birthdays. Perhaps you could PM Demonland and ask him to use his contacts at the Club to get more info added to the calendar. Failing that perhaps stamp your foot a little harder.

Perhaps I haven't been clear enough OD, I hope you've been able to pick up that I've been giving the benefit of the doubt to the Club and I think it's naive to think the Club are unaware of the need to engage with potential members. Your comment about pre season practice game news being "vital" is hard to justify in relation to the Casey game and I can't see the connection between knowing this game was on and an increase in membership. If there is one thing that is "vital" it's wins early in the season. So if Pert has focused limited dollars on the Football program instead of media for a Casey practice game then I'm happy with that. I've coughed up for two Redleg memberships already and cannot understand how anyone could be influenced to purchase a membership on the basis of how well or otherwise a "Casey" practice match was promoted. You know I can be abrasive and I'm not always forthcoming with the reasoning behind some of my more provocative language but my tolerance level is pretty low for ..... certain behavior. If you go back through this thread you will find a couple of people who have ...... complained that if they had of known the game was being played around the corner (in Box Hill) they would have gone. This is after repeated information that the game was being played at CASEY. Is it any wonder I mentioned "spoon feeding". I know I have a jaundiced view of things but by way of explanation; after 40 odd years in emergency response I'm unable to remember when someone called to tell us they had done something clever.
-
There you go, making assumptions.

Ok, maybe I went in a little hard, I agree that fan engagement is important. Yes, the SMS's last year were useful in keeping me up to date about ... whatever. I'm not sure who was doing that and I'm sorry they probably don't have a job anymore. Hopefully someone might volunteer and we can all be better informed. In the mean time I'll continue to be well informed by paying attention.
-
Ok, I get it, you like to be spoon fed and when the budget has been cut by 40% and all those people who usually wiped away your drool aren't available anymore you want to stamp your feet and won't spend any time on getting a bib.
-
I really love the buy in from the Irish girls, they look to be really enjoying the game and the camaraderie. Likewise; it's evident how they are seen by their team mates. There hasn't been a lot of comment regarding Lily Mithin's game and I don't know if that's because we just expect her to do what she does or because some people have an "opinion" of her. Pound for pound I don't think I've ever seen a more courageous and tenacious player (apology to Lord).
-
And apparently you think you're funny. Although, I did laugh at you.
-
No it's not, the comment was rubbish. I knew the game was on 5 days before it happened. Miraculously a number of supporters managed to get to the game and report on it! I accept that it wasn't promoted as much as it could of been but seriously a lot of people want to be spoon fed and perhaps they need the drool wiped away at the same time.

You are delusional and that's a fact.

To say nothing of the width of the ground being the same as the G.
