  1. Chip was terrible in his last year at the dees. I was happy to see the back of him, especially with what we got in compo from the AFL.
  2. Just watch every Melbourne player's reaction on that bench. It's a work of art. JONES: "I can't even believe how good these kids are." SALEM: "Yass! Wait, don't draw attention to yourself Christian. Keep it cool." WIEDEMAN: "Eh…it was all right. Better kick it but." SPARGO: "Lemme at em. Lemme at em. Oh I probably shouldn't run on the field though or they'll wipe our score. Probably just sit down."
  3. Gotta go a bit taller vs West Coast, so I'd say our only chances are J Smith, or a very outside chance of Pedersen. Still would love to see Vince get back in though.
  4. Looked slow and overly bulked-up during his Sydney game this year. I expect very little from Jayden Hunt from 2019 onwards. At least I won't be disappointed.
  5. Don't you just love the look on their faces in this pic! Gotta say though, you look a bit nonplussed at it all.
  6. It's an extended pre-pre-season camp in preparation for 2019.
  7. You expect to get out of there alive?
  8. Harmes is too short and slow for Smith, and their body types don't match up. Hannan would be perfect IMO. Smith: 188cm, 83kg Hannan: 189cm, 87kg Harmes: 185cm, 86kg
  9. That great mark on Garry Lyon's crook back is one of my first Melbourne memories. I have some fleeting memories of footy games from before then, but this is the only one I can pinpoint the game it happened. I watched it with my grandpa at the G from behind/right of that mark. It was a ripper, and so was he. Must admit I grew to hate him while he was at the dockers, but that was because he was ours, and he always turned it on against us!
  10. Hannan to Smith. Hannan has always reminded me of Smith (obviously Smith is miles better), and this would be a great opportunity to hurt the Hawks' biggest attacking weapon going the other way.
  11. Let me in on that too!
  12. Oh well. Looks like I'll be watching our Prelim from home.* *Standard one week at a time terms and conditions apply.
  13. Ok. Happy to see the Pies out in straight sets now.
  14. Obviously. But there's no chance of a Prelim for Melbourne in Melbourne if the Pies can't get it done tonight. One week at a time applies here as well.
  15. You should start up your own website then. The "I hate Collingwood more than life itself" forum.
  16. Unless you live in Western Australia or you don't go to the footy, why would you want Collingwood to lose? Don't you want to see your team live in a Prelim?
  17. Hogan on a wing for Tyson, Lever down back. Push Fritsch forward and Spargo goes out.
  18. That's the story of this Finals series IMO. The changing of the guard. Geelong, Hawthorn, Sydney give way to Richmond, Melbourne, GWS.
  19. If Vince is fit, we should bring him in because he is experienced and composed, which is exactly what we need against Hawthorn. If Vince isn't fit, we should just leave it. I'm very worried about Isaac Smith though, and could Hannan possibly go to him in a shutdown role? Similar body shapes, and could hurt Smith going the other way.
  20. It's a lot better than the game of "Watch all the finalists and shudder at how much they'd smash us by" that I've been playing for the last dozen years.
  21. Terrible at every aspect of the game that involves touching the footy. Handy player in every other aspect of the game though, so he's got that going for him at least.
  22. If it goes Cats, Hawks, Pies, Tigers, that will be pretty much the perfect 4 opponents. Breaking through the 2 teams who have given us the most pain through our dark years, then a preliminary final vs our ancient foe. Then a GF vs the defending champions. You couldn't script that better, and there's no 4 teams I'd like to beat more than them if we could do it. One week at a time though…
  23. I was pretty sure we had it when the Hawkins free was reversed (if it were any team other than Geelong I would have been sure then); I was certain when Geelong were out the back but the Cats player fell over and Gawn dived on him to get a holding the ball. It was party time when Hannan kicked that goal.
  24. See ya next week Hawkers.
  25. Richmond are miles better than Hawthorn. Ripe for the picking the hawks will be next week.
