THE BOMBERS' DOPING SAGA - THE FAT LADY SINGS
picket fence replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in General Discussion
LOL Danny Corcoran another acolyte who has his head in the sand. Hows this gem in the HUN this morning " As for Hird, Corcoran said, punishment was warranted but not a life sentence" well if this is the case Danny why then does he not apologise for the warranted punishmnent??? Therin lies the TRUE problem he cant and won't because of his Ego problems! Sad, arrogant, people all who were involved! Don't have to look for scapegoats, there aren't any .... just look in the mirror and the truth is right there if you can handle it! -
Glen Jacovich was a champion! Ah, I think the footy dept and others are delusional with O Mac! But what do I know?? Eh!?

Frost for O Mac and that is a very very good side! -
He is still yet to convince me he is worth his spot! Time will tell! Would rather Frost in the same position, easily!

James Hird is a victim no doubt about it!! He is a victim of his own ginormous never say die EGO! I believe that his inability to accept any ANY blame, responsibility, and apologise for bringing the game into disrepute and accept that the buck stops at the top is the catalyst to his current position. I actually have little pity for him until he can do this! His dulusionality is palpable! I hope his Club and supporters can move on. He might not ever! -
Because we havent got 100% Control over all aspects of footy operations!
-
Punt Rd?? Vic Park?? Visy Park Carlton?? Junction Oval?? Brunswick Park just to name a few other possible grounds we could play on!

My Saturday questions/statements, about this include 1 As above what is the Casey membership numbers as in supporters? How many of these are derived from the old Springvale supporters? 2 What are the details of this agreement which was generated in the CC/ CS Administration years and is this considered a good deal? Does anyone know? 3 How much does it actually cost over and above the current costs associated with the alignment to field a stand alone team? 4 What aspects of Football decisions/ operations do we not have? 5 How many MFC supporters not to mention general footballing public give a Rats about Springvales History? and for that matter what actually is Casey Scorpions/ Demons as an entity? is it a feeding ground? A place for our list to play if not in the firsts? Do MFC Members give a toss about Casey other than the fact our players play there? Really, as a professional football club, we should have our own stand alone Reserves side. I'll leave it at that.
-
And so if this is correct, then we are not in very good shape! Why and how can most other clubs afford a stand alone team and we can't? If we don't get total control over all aspects of footy operations then at some piont we are comprimising our players and our own best afforts!
-
Ok, does this 30 year "Bonanza" mean we have "TOTAL" Control over every aspect of footy operations?? Because if it doesn't, then what a shizen deal!
-
We should not be in the business of bailing out a defunct Springvale, Casey in reality is just a bedpartner to this alliance, 30 year deals?? Why cant we just ditch this "Daliance of Alliance" and become a fully fledged Melbourne?? Casey Scorpions, Casey Demons, BAH, we are MFC !!
-
Yer BUT, If someone can explain why we need this Springvale/ Casey history alignment to go forward I'm happy to listen, BUT Springvale a years ago VFA entity,!! Connection with MFC?? Casey?? No History at with MFC?? Other than current alignment! What is the connection?? Nup lets go it alone total MFC For mine!
-
Exactly! Seriously, how many old Springvale supporters are out there that still have amy affiliation with the acasey Scorpions/Demons ?? Not too many I wouldn't think! The sooner we bcome a stand alone Melbourne Demons reserves like old the happier I'll be! We owe Springvale Zilch and Casy Scorpions Zilch. Time to get ultra professional with the direction, image and stand alone entity that an "Official" MFC name creates!
-
Serviceable?? The guy won a Brownlow medal with us and lets face it, if both he and Templeton had been able to get fit in 1987, then we might have gone all the way to a premiership! I thought Peter Moore was a very good player at Melbourne!

To all my great pals on Demonland, Uncle, Daisy, Hemmingway, Redleg, Beezle, Earl Hood,Biffen and even Dazz;le man, and anyone else who I have not mentioned Have a good one with Family and an even better 2017 cheers PF "I wish I knew what I wanted to be, when a wanted to be what I am today"

I believe the club was caught between a rock and a hard place with this one. 1 I reckon they took the risk of paying him out hoping that the AFL would consider the case unique enough to grant a rookie upgrade 2 Clearly the club needed to move him at all costs given his very strange rationales at play regarding playing and or not 3 It has backfired but not irreperably Heritier didn't offer all that much in the time he was here and Colingwood probably knew that from a management piont of view he was hard work. I agree between Dawes and Heritier we really didn't get value fpr money, although in Chris Dawes case his body let him down, but at least he tried and did the right thing by the club. Time to cut loses and move on!

Training - Friday 16th December, 2016
picket fence replied to Longsufferingnomore's topic in Melbourne Demons
One thing coming through loud and clear to me is the gap between our best and worst is almost shut. What I mean by that is, previously we copped and injury or three to our star players and we were cactus due to the fact that our next tier were NQR. What I now see is serious SERIOUS competetion for places and the next tier ready to take the slack of our elite players and... not lose to much class! I see a very good year in the making! Very good indeed! -
Ach Tung "Closed traing sessions" next week! exactly what does that mean???? Do they 1 Cordon of Gosh's paddock with black paper?? 2 Post security guards around the windswept wasteland Casey Fields?? Exactly how can they say "Closed Session" ???
-
If the boys are training Wednesday or Thursday, I am free and will attend and give my customary elloquent and right on the money appraisal of form and eclectic random thoughts on players for all you wonderful folk on Demonland! I think I can already say that Clarry Choo Choo will be "Training the House down"!
-
Christ, he was at the very low end of the scale, many on here are carrying on like he was a totally blind and out of control! Chist give Clarry a break! Im sure he's learnt his lesson!

Why is Jarman Whimpey being mentioned in the same column as Clarry Choo Choo?? Mods, needs another thread!! Dont need Clarry being looked at in the same light as Jarman Whimpey!! ????
