  1. Not sure that the racism Jim experienced in Oz is on a similar occurrence or level to the racism indigenous people experience on a near daily basis. Racism in any form is terrible, but clearly there are some groups in our society that suffer immeasurably from persistant, systematic racism.

With all due respect, I hope this isn't intended to be an 'all lives matter' thread

Blaming people - particularly under 60s and especially with such a crude binary comparison - who wish to wait for the ATAGI preferred Pfizer, or who are nervous about the speed at which the vaccines gained emergency approval, especially the new mRNA ones. That’s entirely understandable.

  3. Just starting 14 days iso at home due to covid pos case at my child's school. I have had two AZ shots, which gives me some comfort. Obviously kids not eligible yet

Nobodys fault, delta variant is insidious. Not the fault of any religious beliefs, cultural differences or community ties. It's a highly contagious disease that uses evolution to change and multiply. It finds a way. We all want to blame someone, anyone, but we have to be better than that.

Despite the vaccine roll out being a dogs breakfast, I urge anyone eligible for ANY vaccine to take it asap. If not for yourself, do it for the rest of us.

As Peter Doherty said, if you choose not to get vaccinated, you are on the side of the virus.

Geelong % won't matter to us (unless they manage a draw sometime soon).

FFS  yet another 50 m free shot at goal - the maggots should get the coach's award from Scott

Green a genuine high tackle (no even a Selwoodesque one) in goal kicking range ignored.

It effects Port who are 1 win behind them. Could be the difference between us playing Port or Geelong finals week 1.

Though Cats now only 4 goals behind, so % might well be moot

No. It’s absolutely not what was asked. The response that if “our team thought he was worth pick 6 to us” we would use it on Mac Andrew actually begs the question which is actually whether you believe on the evidence actually before the public at this time you would forgo the use of pick 6.

And the obvious answer is: if we had 6 and our recruiting team thought he was worth pick 6 to us then yes, he could very well be taken then.

Your trying to shift the goal posts by bringing potential trades or evidence before the public into your response.

I simply answered the question asked, nothing more.

I will leave you to it and move on, we currently don't have pick 6 anyway

Obviously, but that wasn’t the question asked.

Let’s assume that we’re back in late 2018 and Melbourne has draft pick 6 (which it had for a little while). Your choice is to take Steven May and change in return for that pick and change or use it on a promising but slightly built young ruckman who has played half a dozen NAB Cup games and two other trial games without starring in them. He’s promising but you won’t know for a few years whether he can really play at the highest level. What would you do with pick 6?

Actually, it was exactly the questioned asked.

If we had pick 6 in this draft would we use it on Mac Andrew? If our team thought he was worth pick 6 to us, then yes.

What was never asked was should we trade pick 6 (if we had it) or use it in the draft, which is what you are hypothetically proposing.

If Melbourne had pick 6 in this year’s draft, would you invest it on Mac Andrew?

If he was rated by our recruiting team as top 6 in draft, then yes.

The draft watchers increasingly have him in the top 10 or thereabouts, which seems to be a reasonable indication, despite the factors you mention.

Would be great for him to be an option at our first pick, but I won't be surprised when he isn't.

    A billion? Really?

Also, there's some suggestion the removalists did not break the mask-wearing rule which may have an exemption for professionals (for want of a better term) while they are moving furniture.

    Indeed.

But the lynch mob want someone to blame.

The 'facts' of the mysterious removalist's trip seem to change, depending upon which media outlet is reporting, or the shifting attitude of public figures like Jerome. The real details may never be made public.

So much for the book being thrown at them. That speaks volumes

Whilst I am very disappointed this highly infectious virus strain leaked back into Victoria, I am also sad for the family of the removalist brothers who lost their matriarch to COVID after she apparently turned away offers of help and died at home alone.
