Jesus Melksham is good to watch when he's firing.

I thought that no team could get worse than Melbourne of 2013 but I guess I was wrong there.

What a game! I thought we completely cooked at three quarter time but we just never gave in. Our desperation in the last 10 minutes was outstanding. Petracca is a champion. He's so glorious to watch when he's kicking goals. Gawn had his best performance in a very long time. That was the ultimate captain's game. And how could I leave out Jake Melksham. You could just tell he'd nail that set shot.

We only have ourselves to blame. Kicking 5.15 for the whole game is simply disgusting. I can't emphasise how painful we are to watch at the moment.

This is why Pickett needs to get the ball more

Oh yeah 100% McVee is a gun and JVR is very impressive for a young key forward.

If I'm being honest Rivers has probably been our only player who's taken a big step since last season.

Our defence was impeccable that quarter. That being said, our kicking into the forwardline needs a lot of work. We can't just rely on our defence to win us this game.

Jesus Carlton really do suck

A win was all I wanted after the past two weeks. We were wasteful up forward but the reality is that we dominated general play and Carlton were lucky to be that close all game. Salem had his best game since 2021. Our backline looks so much better when he plays like that. It was good to see Langdon regain some form too.

Carlton's skills are atrocious. We should have them covered by now.

It might to be the reason we're losing but our midfield does look really bare without Oliver.

Let's face it, the scoreboard is flattering Freo. We have dominated general play but our forwardline hasn't been functioning well enough (last two minutes aside).

Nah. Oliver is probably the only player who'll be in the AA side based on these first 10 rounds. If you think he's our biggest worry, then you're ignoring numerous other players who are out of form.

He's been our only player who's genuinely improved since last year.

Rivers will be an AA in a couple of years. I can feel it.
