TRAINING: Wednesday 3rd April 2024
Bendigo_Demon replied to Bendigo_Demon's topic in Melbourne Demons
Team doing full ground movement drill, 16 vs 12, everyone involved, moving ball out of backline, seems to be more about finding open player, no contest, every player involved, doesn’t seem to be any issues with injuries. Concentrating on running in waves, which the opposition seemed to do to us a lot last year. -

Dees Announce 2 International Home Games From 2025
Bendigo_Demon replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I was actually really disappointed that I knew this was a prank. I'm retired, I definitely would have gone!! -
Marty Hore was definitely not at training.
-
Schache was definitely there. When the team bus arrived, there was a heap of whooping and hollering in the rooms, then lots of love for McAdam on the field. That’s why I got the impression he might debut. I don’t think the selectors will make any decisions until Wednesday night, but with Chin, considering it’s his good knee that was strapped heavily, and his general demeanour, I don’t think he’ll play. BBB and T Mac will definitely be wait and see.
-
And that’s it for today. I will be back Wednesday for more updates.

As training progresses (very casually) and the boys start handing out little footys, BBB and Chin are alternating on the bike. Clarry is in seemingly no discomfort, May still seems sore, Tom Mc did stuff all, Trac was VERY limited and had a long chat with Goody, Chin was very down, shaking his head, BBB walking ok, but not trying to do anything intense. Everybody else seemed ok, BUT, I am 58 and I could have completed that training no problem!!

Trac looks fine, no strapping, just not his normal self. The only people with noticeable strapping are Chin and Tom Mc
-
Trac back with main group.
-
Main group doing lots of ball handling, Tom Mc fetching balls behind goals and kicking out etc. Clarry handling ball ok, May moving much more freely.
-
Trac is in cotton wool, doing 50% 60 metre run throughs. He exudes the impression everything isn’t ok. Sorry to be negative.
-
So, apart from BBB and Chin, all players named are doing run through. BBB walking laps. Chin doing rehab stuff, very low key. BBB doing kick to kick, Chin has started that too.
-
Trac and Tom Mc have joined main group
-
I know May is as tough as nails, but he still looks in some discomfort even doing just basic stuff.
-
Tom Mc and Trac are in rehab group.
-
Nobody is sprinting except Melk!!
-
Kolt, Shaw, McAdam, Tommo Laurie and May all training with team from Saturday. BBB and Chin only 2 not with main group. Lots of laughter.
-
Chandler limping noticeably, can’t see him getting up.
-
Ben Brown in sneakers, no sign of Chandler, McAdam, Schache and Kolt here too. I get the feeling McAdam might play. Lot of love for him from staff and players. Chandler in sneakers with heavy strapping on right knee.
-
Slow start, Melk working really hard with trainers, looks super fit, players wandering out now. Tom Mc is in runners with left knee strapped. May and Clarry with main group. Clarry wearing hand guard,

I’ll do my best. Crowd has swelled to over 100, unfortunately no coffee van, ( or for the old bloke, no bar open either.)

Kids etc cleared off the ground, looks like things are happening.

Slow start so far!! About 30 spectators, 2 dogs, and an d bloke asking security if the bar is open. Few kids enjoying a kick on the ground.
