  1. Season has suited teams with a lot of very experienced players.
  2. Dunstall did alright in the same role at Hawthorn. Not sure what his credentials were.
  3. This also applies to the Glazers who own Manchester United. No ambition outside of the dividend each year.
  4. Stuie posted something on FB today about a new assistant who is at either Richmond or Geelong.
  5. I wonder who will be the next employee connected to GFC? Maybe someone named Indi?
  6. AFLPA only represents the Dangerfields of the League. No surprise he is President. The journeymen barely get a look in other than clubs having to pay 95% of the cap. Rookies have set pay structure so nothing to do there. Look how former players like Robbie Muir are treated to see the focus of the PA. It is just reflecting the fact it is a celebrity based league these days.
  7. The AFLPA have seen what happens in the NBA with super teams and the same teams (generally) finishing top 4 or 6 in the EPL, and want it here. Actually it is pretty much already happening.
  8. Did Geelong do the trade with Gold Coast where they got pick 11 this year for 27 and 64 last year just for this? Conveniently the Suns cannot trade concession picks any more, after Hocking gets his club what they would need.
  9. Free agency is working as intended. This is what the AFLPA wanted.
  10. Every club has NQRs. It is about getting them to operate at the best plodding level as often as possible. Like people not up to the job in the workplace - if you can't sack them, just get the best out of them as much as you can.
  11. Umpires so lazy. Lions win = 3 votes L Neale.
  12. There is plodders in every premiership team. Richmond and Geelong would be the 2 most experienced teams I am thinking? Big advantage in a season like this.
  13. A bloke I would love the club to have a crack at but is no chance of coming is Zac Bailey. Watched him all year as he was in my SC team, and he is a seriously good player. Quick, tackles well, finds the pill. Also able to play in a lot of different positions.
  14. This year has seen journos make up even more [censored] than normal, as most of them have been stuck in Melbourne with no direct access to players, coaches etc. Still have the same amount of space to fill so just writing anything and everything.
  15. Actually they don't offer more than one. Shows how keen they are to keep him by going away from that.
  16. Of course they don't, so they make it up to set their twisted beliefs. Not sure why some of them even support the club.
  17. I am also a member of Parramatta in the NRL. Next year my membership drops by $40, and for letting them have my membership $$ this year, I get a 2021 training shirt with the names of all members who paid in full for 2020 on it. Hobart Hurricanes also gave the first 500 members form last season to renew the choice of a shirt, cap or beanie. Seems to recall getting an e-mail from MFC earlier this year offering a lapel pin as reward for not pausing membership for 2020. Boy oh boy WOWEE!!! Seems this is pissweak compared to other clubs.
  18. He has way too much influence at the AFLPA and AFL HQ.
  19. Second or third round pick seems to be what the article says.
  20. Richmond are big $$$$ generators for HQ. Nothing else needs mentioning.
  21. Most likely Tim Watson trying to steady the ship.
