  1. Magician skills?
  2. Odd thing to write. Should we message you for the green light prior to posting "anything" or are some things ok?
  3. Thanks.
  4. I cant say I agree with you on in regards to that tird.
  5. Is there compensation for this type of free agent?
  6. It only happened once, September 87. Still hurts!
  7. A solid player but I am not an enamoured as others with his ability. Not in the same category for mine as others of the same age and experience bracket. Bower, Sparrow, Rivers, McVee and probably Woey are ahead of him. I can see Blake Howes in soon too playing a similar role. I won't relish seeing him play in another jumper but I wont be getting my nuts caught in my zipper over it.

Makes no sense to me on any level other than financial.
  9. He is not a child. He is a pro sportsman who will take it like a pro.
  10. " We don't need another midfielder (Serong), We need a key forward." This wins the Prince Harry award for the thickest comment accompanied by such an authoritative know it all tone Serong is an absolute star of the competition. It's akin to saying no to the fresh water cray thanks me wants fish fingers
  11. Unfortunately, similar to TMac, Melksham has a recurring 3-4 week stint in the team where he peaks week 1, some nice things in week 2 then liability in weeks 3 - 4 then in the Magoos and so on and so forth. I love his good stuff. Not sure why he has petered off so quickly in he past. Hopefully the penny has dropped after 14 seasons.
  12. The line has to be drawn where sport heroes promote gambling with some catchy ads and kids are exposed to it. Thats not cool. We cant have that.
  13. The overall 1965 to 2020 goals from frees ladder, per club comparison, would not make for flash reading either I reckon.
  14. Would it be the first time for Melbourne that all 3 ins are players with beautiful red hair?
  15. Fair enough
  16. If you think about it Geelong wanting to play at Geelong and not consolidate in the city makes sense. It also reasonable for the AFL to be ok with that. I hate Geelong just as much as the rest of us but they struck a lucky card with the Geography and the cess pit political pull they have.
  17. Regarding David King, I am disturbed by his limited vocabulary. It is disheartening to see him repeatedly employ phrases like "bashed em up" without any regard for the gravity of such acts. This constant repetition not only demonstrates laziness on his part but also shows a lack of empathy for families who have tragically lost loved ones due to senseless violence. This neanderthal-like behaviour with him seemingly reviling in the act of describing someone being brutally assaulted is a sad indictment on him.
  18. Yes I realise that.
  19. Joel Smith has always had the attributes of a good player. Injuries, panic related errors and lack of a clear role have hurt him. Would definitely have been a Premiership Dee if not for the injury. Maturity and confidence can be a force in football and Smith is ready to make his mark for a bit. Wont last forever but he will be valuable. Shaun Grigg sort of valuable.
  20. I dont think Brereton was insinuating the board were concerned that they might be bang friendly either.
  21. Gerard Whateley was quick to move on.
  22. I heard SEN pregame tonight where Brereton was fawning and fumbling over Buddy. Dermott, struggling with eloquence at the least, said that he was on the Hawthorn board at the time Buddy was drafted. They wanted Buddy and also had their eyes on Paddy Ryder. He followed this up with what was meant to be a light hearted comment (*Paraphrasing) that the Hawks board had concerns that 2 boys from the West would not handle the Melbourne party life together. Along those lines. Easy to read between the lines where the Hawthorn board trust level was at. Dermott meant nothing sinister but it does give an insight into Hawthorn at the time during Clarksons early reign. Clumsy at best and if I was Andy Gowers now it might be worthwhile implementing a PR strategy with ageing superstars in the media. Now probably isn't the time for such jokey retells.
  23. Judd reminds me of a young Brett Lovett
