Lumumba sues AFL and Filth
This is getting really boring. For the third time: How is Lumumba an extremist?

Lumumba sues AFL and Filth
Because he hasnāt expressed opinions or beliefs that align with extremist ideologies nor has he demonstrated in his actions anything that could lead me to believe he is an extremist. But of course being asked to prove a negative is a logical fallacy as you know. So how is Lumumba an extremist?

Top 7- Middle 8 - bottom 7
All fair points, just like to see what people think š Itās all pointless in the end⦠as long as we win come September.

Top 7- Middle 8 - bottom 7
I know, Iām as shocked as you are. Watching the team this year, I think Petty/May is much harder to replace than Lever. I based my ranking on ability to be replaced⦠so Iām saying that, I think the combination of May and Petty are more important than any other in our backline. Obviously itās a controversial position and I could be wildly wrong, but from what Iāve seen this year, Iād rather a May/Petty/Tomlinson than a May/Lever/Tomlinson backline.

Unfair fixtures for Top 4 contenders
Any top 4 team playing North twice this year is ludicrous.

Top 7- Middle 8 - bottom 7
Ahhhh interesting, we have Lever and Petty in opposite groups as well as Brayshaw in the secondary group and Jackson the bottom group.

Will the next 2 games hurt us?
Weāll win both by 30 points and then demonlanders will complain that we didnāt play well because we didnāt beat them by 900 points.

Top 7- Middle 8 - bottom 7
Thatās fair, I think my thoughts about Brayshaw is that, Salem canāt be the kind of kamikaze type defender that puts himself in dangerous places and nor does grunt work like a mid-fielder. I donāt think thereās a replacement for that on our list. And Tomlinson could replace Petty⦠but I would rather see Tomlinson replace Lever than Petty IMO. Lever is an amazing player obviously, but it seems like Petty is a bigger loss for the team than Lever. All only an opinion though obviously, I just currently rate Petty as being irreplaceable, more so than Lever.

Iām all about pedantry unless itās used against me, haha Sorry Gontee.

Top 7- Middle 8 - bottom 7
Interested to see where demonlanders see who ranks where on our list. Iāve divided up the team 7-8-7 of our best possible starting 22. Each group is in no particular order, but the middle and bottom groups are the players I think can be replaced. Hereās mine: TOP 7 Gawn Petracca Oliver May Petty Brayshaw Fritsch MIDDLE 8 Spargo Jackson ANB Salem Bowie Viney Langdon BBB Bottom 7 Lever Sparrow Mcdonald Jordan Harmes Pickett Rivers Players that miss out: Pickett I think can be covered by Bedford hence why heās in the bottom 7. Lever (I reckon Petty has become are more important) player so could be more easily replaced by Tomlinson. Hunt doesnāt make the list as Salem would be the replacement for me when heās fit and goes into my middle 8. Hunt is a bottom 7 player. Weid can replace McDonald and BBB, hence why BBB isnāt in the top 7. Dunstan could replace Viney or Jordan IMO.

POSTGAME: Rd 08 vs St Kilda
Someone else has said this on demonland⦠but it would be criminal if this team doesnāt win 2-3 flags minimum. Weāre unreal!

POSTGAME: Rd 08 vs St Kilda
Watching the replay - Bucks points out that we are playing elite football. When we were 41 points up in the 1st, Saints pressure rating was at 200. Every single one of our disposals was made under pressure effectively and we were still able to dominate. That is unbelievable.

I think he came across as very arrogant as a coach, but now what I can see is that he is an INTENSE person when heās representing a team in any form. He played like a soldier and as a coach, had the mentality that the world was against him, which I think he created in a way to give him the feeling he was in a battle. The guy gets motivation from a fight I think. As a neutral commentator though, he comes across a relaxed guy that thinks about the game a lot. My perception of his arrogance was misplaced.

I enjoy listening to Bucks a lot. I reckon heās got a lot of insights into the game and he seems to see it pretty clearly.

Watching the Goodwin footage of the Granny and seeing how calm he was when the doggies had full momentum knowing full well we would swing momentum back⦠I donāt get nervous when teams start kicking a few goals together. Wasnāt even worried in that 3rd term, I knew we would get momentum back and hold them off. Itās just a part of the game knowing that teams will be able to come back at us for a while, not be able to maintain their pressure and attack long enough, then we get a lead and just defend it for the rest of the game.

TEAMS: Rd 08 vs St. Kilda
Yeah exactly. Thereās nothing spectacular about him that draws attention to himself, but what he does for the team is damaging and creates problems if heās allowed to do what he wants. Alsoā¦. One of my favourite things in footy is learning about which players other clubs rate as having to concentrate on⦠Tom Mitchell is a prime example of the opposite, gets a lot of glory for gaining possessions but doesnāt do much damage.

Man I REALLY want Bedford to be a part of the team. He offers glimpses that he could become a gun player if heās able to continually get games at AFL level. I feel like heās one of those guys that needs to play at AFL level to gain confidence and grow into the player he could be. Donāt really have any other reason than a āfeelingā about him. I donāt know if this carries across, but thereās some cricketers that are good at state level without dominating, then when they get into international teams and play at that level for a while, they turn into absolute guns and do dominate. This is Bedford I reckon. Saying that though, if I look at our Premiership lineup⦠I donāt know who he replaces and is able to keep out long enough form him to string games together.

Totally agree about ANB. Other club supporters donāt rate him at all (which I actually like) but heās definitely in the āinner club superstarsā group like Spargo and Kozzie (although Kozzie still gets a lot of fan fare obviously) for what they do for the team. Was a very noticeable difference without ANB in the team.

Wowā¦. just looked him up, kicked 660 goals from a total of 265 games over 3 clubs⦠as a ruckman Must have been some player.

Mmmm playing like trash is extremely harsh. Iād watch West Coast right now if you really wanna see trash. Weāll hit our straps about 6/7/8 rounds out from finals and roll in with a head of steam. Great teams follow this formula and have been for as long as Iāve watched footy. No point being in form at the wrong time of year.

And even though we are playing nowhere near our best at the moment and have lots of room to improve, we are still winning⦠Would you like to be in form now? Or heading into final?

Becoming a big fan of Toby Bedford. Also, anyone else think our forward line looked more dangerous when Weid and Brown were playing up the ground? It felt like their defenders didnāt know who to go to and we made use of more options.
