  1. Can you clarify what you’re saying please?
  2. I’m not saying he is leaving either, I’m saying it’s concerning that he (nor the club) hasn’t come out saying ‘I still want to play for the Dees, the claim I want to leave is completely untrue’ or anything close to those lines. It’s not a minor claim. 3 days later and I can’t conclusively say either way. That’s bad whichever way anybody wants to slice it.
  3. Also to @DeeZone, so I’ll take both of your comments at face value as being true. Gawn and MFC have only said he is *contracted* to play for the dees. This is a politician’s answer. What Tracc wants and what his contract status is, are two seperate things. What is the reason it has been 3 days and the claim that Tracc *wants* to leave, hasn’t been directly challenged as being untrue?
  4. This is fair, but having things spill out in public like this and Tracc nor the club conclusively dispelling the notion that Tracc wants to leave, is damaging to the club, coming into a trade period and every passing moment it isn’t countered, is another moment it becomes true. It’s now 3 days and it’s obvious it’s true he wants to leave unless MFC has THE WORST public relations department in the world and/or Tracc just forgot to address it somehow. Haven’t heard OX’s claims about players getting ‘up to no good’ during preseason being countered by anyone so that’s obviously true too.
  5. Very tangential… The phrase ‘jumping at shadows’ has always kinda been a bit weird to me, because generally, everything has a shadow and if it’s making you jump, then it’s probably moving? So you could be jumping at a shadow of a thing that’s actually there. Because of this, I can only give that phrase, 2 out of 5 stars for conceptual integrity.
  6. There was ‘the weapon’ at Essendon. Use to stand on the boundary line with Hird and be very involved. I remember the week he was banished to sitting in some corner somewhere. Good times.
  7. That could very well be the case. It’s out there now though that there are these two different truths and the only people that can control the narrative is Tracc and the club. If they don’t dispel either or both and until they do, then it’s a claim without refutation and it will continue to swirl around. The fact it hasn’t been strongly rebutted as of yet is in and of itself saying something. I of course don’t know what’s in Tracc’s mind, but one social media post saying he is all onboard to play with the Dees next year would quash that aspect of the claims. But that hasn’t happened so what are people supposed to think conclusively?
  8. If it’s blatantly untrue, all Tracc has to do is come out and say he’s got no issues and there’s no story. Gawn basically only said that Tracc has a contract with the club and so did the MFC. That doesn’t mean there aren’t issues. If neither Tracc, Gawn or the club is explicitly coming out and saying it’s not true and these are indeed just rumours, then the only sensible inference to take is that it’s true.
  9. My question I’d like an answer too: If OX knew about a bunch of players getting ‘up to no good’ (reads as getting absolutely tanked) in Geelong in the pre-season, did coaching staff also know and if they did, were there any repercussions? If he knew by being told by someone else, it would be strange if it was secluded knowledge to only those two people. If the coaching staff did know and there were no repercussions… why?
  10. Yeah fair, definitely stands out as a comment. I hope food and unlimited drinks were included in that $300+ for your mate
  11. That's an interesting comment by Roos, I haven't heard that before. Any ideas on what he meant more specifically?
  12. Yeah, not good.
  13. That's where my mind went. Legitimate or not, how much do we *look* like a basket case right now to outsiders? With all the stuff being reported over the last couple years (again, legitimate or not), I question if there's many players that hear Melbourne and think 'destination club'.
  14. Any injuries, put those players on ice and get the kids in. Load up for 2025.
  15. And we’re only 21 points down. Next goal.
  16. This is such a messy game
  17. G Lyon pointed out we had 5 missed tackles that quarter and the average for a game is 8.
  18. Where is the tackling intensity? Bloody hell
  19. Unselfish footy from JVR, love it
  20. Yeah great bet right there
  21. So is the AFL (and other posts including MFC posts) calling the western bulldogs, ‘Footscray’, again? Is this a niche Footscray round? Or a mistake?
  22. Can someone just vote for Hawthorn to make sure they don’t win it please? Haha
  23. Just curious on peoples August predictions? Haven’t been watching many neutral games but the ladder is so even so I’d love to see who people reckon is the favourite. I have a bad feeling Geelong are going to nab it….. they seem to be winning more since Hawkins is out of the team.
  24. Severe mental illness and not earning enough money will do it. Happy you’re able to go but some of us struggle every day just to survive.
