  1. Tommy McDonald did some nice work at ground level then. Made something happen. Has had a few almost marks, so some good signs.
  2. I think I was referring to the MCC, not AFL members. There has been a requirement for all our games to reserve seats, particularly if attending with a guest.
  3. I quoted this ticketing issues earlier as a major factor as to why crowds are down. Until the MCC and MCG return to a system of just rocking up and getting a seat together with mates, we will continue to see lower than expected attendances. With the restriction repeals announced today, which come into effect on Friday night, I hope the MCC update their ticketing policies. In an email received today from the MCC, it looks like things are beginning to be relaxed a little. I hope it continues: General ticketing A reminder to members that to obtain access to the Reserve during the 2022 AFL Premiership Season, matches have been categorised in one of the following options based on the predicted attendance. 1. Fully Ticketed Matches Only a small number of AFL Premiership Season matches have been classified under this category for this year. This category is assigned to marquee matches where it is predicted demand to attend will be high amongst our members. For example, the ANZAC Eve and ANZAC Daymatches are Category 1, fully ticketed matches, and are available to Full and Restricted members only. Full and Restricted members and their guests must have secured tickets in advance to attend those matches in the Reserve. 2. Members’ Reserve on Demand or Walk-Up Access Matches For designated Members’ Reserve on Demand matches, the Reserve is available to members to secure a seat and also purchase visitor tickets on a match-by-match basis. Seats are released and sold as required and any seats not sold will be available to those members who decide to walk-up on the day of the match. This walk-up availability will be communicated on the MCC website on the Friday afternoon prior to the round.
  4. watch from 00:21 - this is the bloke lecturing the league on dissent. It should be broadcast on every network. Hypocritical tool bag let's also mention tht he tried to run through David King on the field whilst King was working as a broadcaster, and also started a fight with Damian Barrett in a pub. The bloke was one of the game’s greatest hot heads and so is his brother
  5. If Brown comes in for TMAC, does that allow Weed to play the high half forward role? If so, I thought he was much more suited to that last night than the deep forward role. As the game wore on, he was able to lead up and do some great work marking on the wings. I think his is his go. In saying that, Brown and Weed can work out a balance where one stays deep and one leads high, but they can’t be going at the same ball. It’s a great problem to have.
  6. There were about 2000 dogs supporters there in Rd 1
  7. Nick Riewoldt had to have a go at this on the post game, saying we must have all been at the snow or in Portsea. It is insulting. Crowds are down across the league. The ridiculous pre-booking tickets and the MCC marking this as a Category 2 game, is keeping people away, particularly neutrals who would rock up and just sit with mates. It is probably true that a lot of fans were away on Easter vacations. I don’t blame them. It’s GWS on a Saturday night. The night fixtures are great for TV. Many prefer the convenience of staying home. If this was a game later in the year on the eve of finals, you’d have had more there. In saying all that, the club should be stronger on encouraging fans to turn up. You can’t just expect that because we are Premiers tht people will just show up. Pump it up during the week a little more.
  8. What sort of crowd are we expecting? I can’t see it being more than 30k, at best.
  9. Goldrich hesitated. Harris didn’t chase and couldn’t have looked more disinterested the whole game. Shocking mental demons she must suffer on the big stage.
  10. Finally some quick kicking into the f50 to get the ball out the back. It is the only method for AFLW
  11. This is actually embarrassing. Completely embarrassing. They have been made to play a brand they are simply incapable of
  12. Bannan is the only natural footballer in the whole team. Understand all facets of the game.
  13. Completely different styles from the two sides. Adelaide just nag it in and take ground with the foot ..we are trying to play a link up chain handball game, and lack any skill to do so
  14. Coaching is the problem here. There is a clear instruction to handball and it is going to give us zero chance in this game.
  15. Holding the ball clearly only going to be paid one way. We need to get the ball in quick and put it to grass, not in the air. They have got numbers behind the ball. Anything aerial will suit them. Birch is a liability at time. Loses here Head too often and often plays selfish football - I’ve never understood the hype.
  16. Is there any reason for why we have elected to wear the indigenous jumper in the Grand Final? While I love the indigenous jumper concept, I think we should have worn our traditional jumper.
  17. I’m going against the grain here, I know, but I thought Weid was good in patches, but still makes some fundamental errors. Kick inside 50 in the last quarter when he had three options to choose from and stuck it down an essendon players throat. Kicked the tough ones and missed ones directly in front . I do agree he deserves to continue in the team for now and TMac can have a spell, but he must eradicate these ‘panic moments’ and ‘pressure lapses’. It’s all in his head. The only way he clears this up though, a full 6 week block playing with the same blokes.
  18. You should listen to him mic'd up. Horrible antagonistic carry on that targets the oppo. As you point out, he is young and still making his way in the game, so perhaps he should tone it down and achieve something before carrying on like a pork chop. He is your typical 'rub it in the oppos face' player, even when he knows he has 'cheated' for a free. He is a pest. Look at the humility of Rivers, Bowey, Sparrow, Jackson - all players as young as he, who have medals around their necks. He is just another tip-rat with a silly vintage Doggies hat he bought at the op-shop.
  19. My mum had her hair set on fire while in line for a beer at Windy Hill. She is 69 and it still haunts her
  20. Don’t back down from this opinion, I for one share it and so do many others. He is a germ and carries on like nobodies business. He kicks a standard goal and goes bonkers looking for high fives from all and sundry. It’s good though, because it’ll hold them back. It’s that sort of arrogance that leads to teams getting ahead of themselves, which we know the Dogs do. He is very elusive, but I get the sense that he will get his comeuppance one day. There is something very Stephen Milne-like about him. Pure Germ
