  1. When Tom Mac leads up and marks on the wing and spins around, he has had nobody to kick to but an apprentice Luke Jackson and a mid sized Fritsch. Imagine now Tom Mac marking up the ground spinning around and having two big forward targets to look for in Ben Brown and Sam Weideman, with Fritsch and LJ more freed up to cause mayhem. All of them will fit in the team and if it clicks it could be unstoppable.
  2. Weideman will play for sure. Only question is do we bring them both in.
  3. He isn't half the player Langdon is. I knew that last season in the fake asterisk covid campaign though. Anyway enough about that St Kilda scrub..... Langdon has kicked 6 goals in 5 games so far..... he needed to kick goals to get to the next level and now hes All Australian bound.
  4. The last time Melbourne were 6-0 - Robert Menzies was prime Minister - Henry Bolte was premier of Victoria - The still unsolved Wanda Beach murders occur - The Royal Australian Mint opened in Canberra by Prince Philip - Margaret Court wins the Australian women's tennis singles title for the sixth consecutive year - The Seekers single I'll Never Find Another You reaches No. 1 in the UK charts. It becomes the first recording by an Australian act to sell more than 1 million copies - Australian sends troops to South Vietnam, officially entering the Vietnam War - @old dee celebrated his 56th birthday The year was 1965.
  5. I hope Jack Watts doesn't read this he will have flashbacks.
  6. LUKE JACKSON WILL NOT BE DROPPED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. NOT ONLY IS HE PLAYING AMAZING FOOTY AND CAN LITERALLY DO EVERYTHING DESPITE BEING A TEENAGER, HE IS FREEING MAX GAWN UP TO PLAY DEVASTATING FOOTBALL. IN CASE YOU HADN'T NOTICED GAWN IS THE BEST PLAYER IN THE COUNTRY BY A MILE AND HAS GONE TO ANOTHER LEVEL AND A LOT OF THAT IS DUE TO LJ IF WE DROP LJ WHO PLAYS RELIEF RUCK? SOME FORWARD WHO CANT RUCK TO SAVE HIMSELF AND WE HAVE TO MOVE GAWN STRAIGHT BACK IN WHEN WE ARE GETTING SMASHED IN THE MIDDLE? WAKE UP!
  7. A legend of the club. The [censored] this guy had to play through would break a lot of people. Who could have blamed him if he had left the club in those dark days? He would have had many opportunities too. The guy was doing it all for us on the field with very little support and fought like a warrior every week taking a beating as our #1 midfielder, a position he should not have been in . And here he is still kicking, playing in a 5-0 team now, about to play his 300th under the MCG lights in a Saturday night blockbuster and will be a one club player. Legend.
  8. Good luck knowing who will lead our goalkicking this season.. Pickett and Fritsch are on 10, Trac is on 7 while Weideman / Ben Brown could reel them all in fast.
  9. 17 touches, 5 marks, 5 inside 50's and 23 hitouts. Inches closer and closer to his exciting breakout game where he clunks some big marks and kicks some goals and does it all. What a package!
  10. You are 100% right. He was a ghost today. Richmond will eat us alive if we are carrying passengers. He has all season to play his 300th.
  11. Well Goodwin has confirmed that Jones will play. Just hope he plays well and we win. Cant help but think how Bedford would go in a big game on the G, he was sensational today for Casey but I guess he will have to bide his time.

  13. This post might age very very well. Barring injury hes a lock for his 5th AA quernsey, and the only reason it wont be six in a row is because he missed half of 2017. Gawn is something else.
  14. 5. Trent Rivers is not getting enough attention There's plenty of love out there for Kysaiah Pickett, and fair enough given the Melbourne goalsneak's freakish abilities. And everyone knows how highly rated Luke Jackson is, with the key forward/ruck earmarked for great things for many years at the Demons. But the Dees have another young gun who is flying under the radar in their 5-0 start to the season: Trent Rivers. The West Australian talent had another excellent outing on Sunday in Melbourne's 50-point win over Hawthorn, with 21 disposals and an assured display. The Dees already can count on him to deliver under pressure and, in his just his second season at AFL level, Rivers has largely done it without much fanfare. That should be about to change. - Callum Twomey https://www.afl.com.au/news/594553/nine-things-we-learned-the-saints-season-looks-shot
  15. Things are going too well for us. 5-0 with a handful of guns to return in the next week or two. Expect a Covid outbreak from hotel quarantine that completely derails the AFL season in a year we are flag contenders.
  16. Word of caution it was Tom browne who said this
  17. May and Fritsch available to play vs Richmond. ?
  18. Lockhart and Deakyn Smith were fantastic. Bowey found a good amount of the ball but was a tad sloppy. He will be a player though. We have some nice replacements options coming through for the aging Hibbo and Jetta.
  19. In - May, Fritsch, Weideman, B Brown, Bedford Out - Petty, M Brown, Jones, ANB, Melksham
  20. Wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww This season gets better by the minute
  21. Unfair on Bedford and Chandler who have been great all preseason and dominated for Casey today.
  22. Welcome back Hibbo Hibberd lays claim on spot Former Bomber Michael Hibberd has been made to earn his place back in the Demons' defence and was brought into the side for his first appearance of the season. The 31-year-old made a seamless return, gathering 21 disposals in a polished display out of the back line. The tough and physical left-footer also had a moment of brilliance in the third term, when his effort to smother and stop a goal deep in defence helped set up a Melbourne goal at the other end of the ground.
