I can't stand Geelong. I hope they don't get near it this year. Their players are getting on and if this year they can't make it to the GF they'll be in some trouble. Anyways, what was most painful to watch was Smith gliding up and down the wing and then of course the sealer. I could just picture him doing that for us... The joys of supporting the Dees hey :)

I like Gus, but he nor the coaches have this one right. I think he plays his best footy inside like most do on here. However, one thing he does have is footy smarts. So perhaps if we stick him there and don't keep chopping out this spot there he could mould into the role. It just hurts to see Smith and Phillips both have really strong games this year...either one would have looked amazing on that wing

Would love us to get these guys tonight, and I think we can. Our mids are hopefully going to be a bit sharper than last week as there were some cobwebs but we also need to run both ways. If we do turn it over I really worry that Viney, Oliver, Trac, Gus will be able to slow those speedy saints players down. Would really like to see Rivers on a wing, Jacko kick 2+ and Max to impose himself on Paul Hunter who has played 1 game Dees by 14

May vs Membrey will be great. Not often these days we get excited for a Key Defender vs Key Forward. Our mids vs theirs will be super interesting, if we can slow their pace down we can control the game. They don't have too many talls to mark the bail out kick so I'm expecting Max to cover this (plus he needs a big showing after he was pretty quiet last week). Finally - we need to see something from Luke "Dogga" Jackson. I get that he's only played 7 games but I'd like him to start hitting the scoreboard and seeing some real grunt from him.

Also why did we not pick up Butler? lol I have a bad feeling he's going to eat us alive

I would much rather play Hunt on a wing than back, not sure why the coaching staff is so adamant on playing him down there. He has toe, he can kick a goal and now that he's played time down back he can hopefully be clued on to defensive positioning and running down/pressuring the ball carrier. I do worry about his kicking at times, but Langdon also isn't the best kick either.

If we lose this then I can't see us making the 8. They have so many out and although we have a few out too, we're playing at home and have a good spine other than a missing FWD line (praying Tmac kicks 2-3) I actually think we'll turn up and get the job done. Would like it even more if we won by 30+ points. Nervous energies!

Baker ain't it. I'd like to see Rivers on a wing. He might not have the pace/tank but put him there for a majority of the game and swap out with Hunt perhaps. Agree with all on here that it's amazing we didn't go after another winger or even someone temporary to fill the hole. Baker isn't the answer. Also our mids need to start hitting the scoreboard. So sick of watching other teams mids kick 1-2 and ours not even looking like a threat to score.
