  1. Bowey May Salem Windsor Petty Lever Would be my guess with Hore or Howes as the bench back up in the rotation.
  2. Recon most that follow footy know how midfield rotations work
  3. The midfield will be those 4 with others floating in. But they will be 5min bursts. These 4 will be in there majority of the time.
  4. Whilst this was match sim like, it wasn't full match sim. Clearly focusing on some defensive structures and ball movement. As they stopped the drill once the ball was locked in a pocket and second half there was no ball ups. This made the forwards’ performance a little hard to read. Rehabilitation - Melksham & Kolt who went straight back into the rooms after some stretching and photo. Spargo and Trac joined rehabilitation after drills. Was Melksham’s injury a hammy? If so he is pretty much over it, did a power of running, wrestling and sideways drills. Oliver - clearance king, nothing too much from him, but he just got clearance after clearance. Langford - holds his own in the midfield, will get a run, but also don't expect too much from him yet. We have a midfield of Oliver, Trac, Viney and Rivers. Kozzie - electric, everywhere. As previous reports from trainings. Petty - solid, few skill errors, pushing forward from defence when an opportunity arises. Jefferson - good contests and covering the ground well. Good signs. Rivers - looking good through the midfield, will be part of the midfield 4. Langdon - absolutely everywhere as a midfielder. BOG. Billings - barely sighted for me. Sharp - good on the wing, covering ground and getting into defence. Chandler - back on the park, moving well early, very good in match sim. Also showing real leadership with his voice. Spargo - into early drills, looked gassed at times. Think he is a bit off senior footy still. Fritsch - playing high half forward, has a lovely left foot and knows how to get out the back. I like this role for him. I believe this also allows Petty to roll forward and create a mismatch in game play. McVee - Was smooth and classy till he went down with what looked like a hammy, walked off with assistance from trainers, but once he reached the boundary he looked to grab around the ankle area and then walked by himself. Await club report, hopefully just an ankle.
  5. Have been very surprised but tge early song selection, half the team's parents wouldn't have even met when these tunes came out!! Right in my wheel house though!!
  6. I have notes section up on my phone ready
  7. Bucket list item ticked off today. First training attendance. Very excited!
  8. I love your optimism, but clearly for the past 2 years its not the love of the club that is the reason for possibly leaving. Hopefully its enough for him to stay though!!
  9. not to mention that both teams know the game plan, so they know where the ball is going. Hence why it looks like bad kicking to contests, but the fact is everyone knows it's going there.
  10. the work rate from kossie in the last play of this clip. God i hope he stays
  11. He is a big strong body, if you closely watched him last year you would see how well in and under he was for an 18 year old. He has the frame and will fill out nicely to become a Zac Merret type frame. He is hard at it and perfect for a midfield run, will improve his kicking and learn the game tempo and when to take it on.
  12. He is clearly going to the half back. This is where kids learn the game now. Picking up the pace and how the game flows. He will end up on ball, think Rivers progression.
  13. Haha let's be serious followed but both Brayshaw and Tracy for Kossie
  14. That's what we said about Jackson. Clubs don't walk away from trades if the player wants to go.
  15. Darcy would be a very good move, if we had too!
  16. Thank god we ain't in the 90s anymore. Useless stat. Do the last 5 years. Hell even 10!
  17. Caufield currently in flames, making more room for our facilities hopefully
  18. Just depends who the VFL players are, and they may play him instead of Kentfield. but if he has a defensive game, for sure
  19. With this team it's making the VFL side look like(Dees listed players only): FB: Hore ??? Howes HB: AMW Adams Lindsey C: Woewodin Sparrow Billings HF: Spargo Jefferson Melksham FF: McAdam Kentfield Johnson Mid: Campbell Laurie Sestan Int: Brown Mentha Verrall ??? This is a very handy VFL team and this is just AFL listed players, there is a good 5-6 ex AFL listed players on Casey's list to fit in as well. I don't have Fullarton in atm as i'm not sure where he fits. might have to play in def this year.
  20. i hope there is improvement, but improvement means that they take spots not all get in. 2 small fwds isn't enough especially when one of ours plays the high half fwd role. We need the high half forward and a couple of small pressure/goalkicking fwds also. The only way i could see it working is if Tmac/Petty and Turner have a rotation between CHF/CHB and Ruck to give max a chop out, and one would almost certainly be subbed out every game. would be interesting and potentially a game changer, but i don't think we are doing that.
  21. Jackson didn't play as a key fwd, if someone could play that role id be all for it.
  22. and we finished 14th, with the Crows who were below us scoring more points. New forward line set up wont have 3 talls and Fritsch who is a leading fwd. With a new forward system and coach, i can't see us going to what was the 14 worst scoring side in 2024.
  23. Yeh im not sure on the 4 talls, but could be good to help Max in a rotation. but i think TMac or Petty maybe miss out. But they might try it first and see if it works or not. Id love to see Jefferson in, but it would be a the cost of Turner, I hope he comes on but im not sure he is there yet. But injuries will probably give him his chance.
  24. Lindsay will have to work into it i think, and Windsor looks to be moved to HB which i like. so i think Sharp will get first crack, but will have to perform.
  25. FB: McVee May Lever HB: Salem Petty Windsor C: Sharp Viney Langdon HF: Chandler Turner Tholstrup FF: Pickett JVR Fritsch Mid: Gawn Oliver Petracca Int: Bowey Langford Rivers TMac Sub: Sparrow My Rd 1 (besides Pickett) team as it stands, not sold on the second wing yet but hard position to play, im not 100% on Tmac on the bench either but its him or Petty, one might miss out. I expect Lindsay to work his way into the team as well This means our next in players are: Sparrow, Melksham, Billings, McAdam, Hore, AMW, Lindsey, Campbell, Spargo, and Woewodin. All beside Lindsey can and have played at the AFL level. Big difference to last year where we didn't have as many of these players, or they were needed to pay major roles rather than supporting roles.
