Sure. Were Brisbane missing Neale or Andrews? Were Sydney missing Heeney or Warner? Were GWS missing Greene or Hogan? Were Port missing Butters or Rozee? We were missing Trac, Clarry was playing through a ridiculous amount of injuries but because he's Clarry he still deserved his spot, as well as it being very good for his mental health (and as a concerned club with a concerned coach and a difficult situation, that was excellent work by the club); Gawn had a stress fracture but still deserved his spot.

Injuries: in 2023, at the end of the season, our forward line was completely destroyed by injury. In 2024, we had our three best players, all multiple AA players, either out or totally affected because of injury. Injuries kill teams. If you can't see that, you're not looking.

I am completely with Little Goffy on this. So tired of the ridiculous criticising c..p that is dominating this site. Goodie hagiographers: well, he has a flag, multiple top four finishes and a record to match basically anyone's. The real criticism is that he hasn't made enough of it outstanding list - which completely ignores the fact that a few other clubs have had pretty outstanding lists too, and that he has had some pretty terrible luck with critical injuries at critical times. But some people just love to bag anyone and everything - the coach, the board, certain players (think of how much ANB and TMac have copped, among many others!) -yep, if there is a chance to criticise, along come CF, HTD, the almost aptly-named Kent....
-
I said: in the first half of the season. For you to get off his back. And if have to say, if I were him and I won the flag, you would be the last person I'd want to have a drink with after all the "support" you have shown him.
-
That's great, PF. Now perhaps you'll tell us what he needs to achieve in the first half of the season for you to back off!
-
In all seriousness, it would be nice to see Hibbo back.
-
And a very good one

I read your initial comment and quoted it correctly. Later you changed to say that it was only dad that was disgruntled- no doubt because you had been successfully called out on the misinformation re his mum.
-
That's not what you said earlier in this thread - you said the Oliver family/camp (not just dad) were incredibly disgruntled. Big change!
-
And I have heard exactly the same thing. I said earlier in a post: don't believe a fraction of what you read, including the whole premise of this thread.
-
You know, it beggars belief as you say. I'll tell you what: don't believe one tenth of what you read in the media including on here, starting with the whole premise of this thread.

Collingwood can have him. I never wanted another HBF - that is one position we have covered. As for Trac: he may have had issues with the club. So? They may be justified, they may not. He might be a top bloke, he might not. I will never see him in the same light again: he apparently was prepared to go to Collingwood - to stand in the circle and sing their song with his arms over the shoulders of Brayden Maynard. I am NOT impressed with that. Any team mate of Gus's who would contemplate that loses me. And as for culture: it is noticeable that BBB stayed at Melbourne and still does. He has the score on the board as a person who speaks up when things are wrong.
-
Sorry, I thought it was true, but if you say it is rubbish I will accept your reasoned and evidence-supported response.
-
It's the"fans" bit that bothers me. There are a number of posters who do nothing but criticise. That's hardly being a fan. BTW, a poster on this site recently revealed that during the period where Petracca was in the news and Kate Roffey was silent, she was actually in hospital with COVID. So perhaps we can all back off that particular bit of criticism.
-
Yes, and particularly you, so you can't use the slightest bit of criticism in the findings as a platform for your ceaseless Lawrence campaign.
-
Let's just suppose that is correct. Then why are you dragging up an incident from mid-2022, purely between two players, one of whom doesn't go very well with alcohol. What has that got to do with the culture of the club? Why are you repeating rumours about Goody which are totally unsupported, which he flatly denies, and which are highly defamatory? Why are you saying that Clarry wanted to leave when he has made it completely clear that the only thing that got him even thinking of leaving were the (unsubstantiated) reports that the club was open to trading him? No, you've lost me.
-
Yep, sure, and the club LOOOVES "supporters" like you who slag off at everything and, as I said before, rely on rumours, defamatory statements without support... Why do I bother going on? I'm getting really sick of this site and its unbelievably unsupportive "supporters".
-
He didn't. He managed to include that, even though it is more than two years old ( in which time we had two top four finishes).
-
No you didn't. You managed to compile each and every scurrilous rumour, whether supported by evidence or not, many of them promulgated by disaffected people with an axe to grind, whether or not they are potentially defamatory, whether or not they are over two years old - no, Dr G, you didn't miss anything. Congratulations. With supporters like you, who needs opponents.
-
Barrett getting ready to sink the boots into Melbourne, as usual. As previously discussed, I hope the review outcomes are not publicly released, as Malcolm Speed discussed. Imagine what that horror DB would have to say about even the slightest negative finding!
-
To me, the men's coach in waiting is Mick Stinear....
-
The only confirmation bias on this topic is this: all the senior club officials have said, he will not go. He is a much loved player, has been an absolute champion, and there is a good chance that he will be again. If he were to be traded to another club, with us paying one cent of his salary while he dominated against us, all supporters would be absolutely up in arms. The club officials would have to admit they were liars. This is not going to happen.
-
Is this something you KNOW or is it just your opinion? I know which one I think it is. But perhaps it is from a source inside the club, such as a paid up member, or a cleaner at the G, or perhaps the bootstudder's assistant? (Thinking of which, I have thought for a long time that we need a new bootstudder. I am sick of watching our players slip over in the wet)
-
Dr Gonzo always says it. I think he is in the same group as Hawk the Demon and Dr Don Duffy - the Lawrence group.
