  1. If you get suspended for 4 games in the vfl but because of the inadequate nature of the comp that means 6 I think the correct decision has been made. He now misses 5, which seems still too harsh to me.
  2. I can’t believe we lost to North and Essendon. They are both so ordinary. Last nights game made me realise how much work lies ahead, not just in player management and trading/drafting but in getting the best out of the players who will be here not only this year and next but the next 5 and 10 years. Our list has holes but if we can fill them over the next 1-3 years we should stay in the hunt.
  3. His time expired. 34 seconds
  4. Who’s the relief ruck? It can only be Turner. Petty, who on occasion still seems to have foot discomfort, surely wouldn’t be risked outside of the 50. The non selection of JVR or AJ feels like a mistake.
  5. Max shouldn’t be expected to work this hard against WC. JVR was the obvious selection. Turner can play at Casey. I’m presuming Melksham will be sub? I’d have played one of Culley, Brown or Sestan.
  6. In the words of a young fella 100%
  7. Neither get direct sun and both are covered with light trolleys most of the week. Our ovals will have no grandstands blocking sunlight. I appreciate what you’re saying but I disagree.
  8. The plan clearly states the oval can be used by the community when we’re not using it. Surely in this day and age that makes sense. Why have 2 ovals sitting empty, being mowed, fertilised and then just sit there bar the 10 or so hours a week we would use it? Absolutely ridiculous waste of resources. We should be encouraging the community to use them and I’m sure that will be the case.
  9. I think we’re reaching to make this assumption.
  10. I think Oliver is replaceable but prefer him playing. I wonder if Culley is seen as a possible replacement?
  11. Before 4 is preferred. Kev will need a suitable reason for posting the report late as per Report Standards section 7: timing and deadlines, subsection 3A, page 37, paragraph 4, line 21, “any reports posted later than the 4pm deadline will need to be prefaced with the reasoning behind said reports late posting”
  12. Caulfield will be an awesome spot to get. If it falls through it’ll be a huge loss for the club. I imagine there’s plenty going on behind the scenes. I believe there’s an announcement in June/July as per initial report.
  13. And playing for Sandringham will make them better players?
  14. He’s still involved in securing Caulfield.
  15. Looks like we’re going to disagree again, and to think I tend to always agree regarding your football knowledge. Anyway, he’s run several businesses as big or bigger than Melbourne including one that was part of a worldwide organisation. Business is business, there’s commonalities between all of them from a CEO standpoint. He’ll no doubt be given a brief. Let’s face it his most important job is securing Caulfield. If he pulls that off he’ll achieve, along with those who began the push, what no other club official has managed in over 50 years. Give him his chance.
  16. So is the club expected to go for a lesser candidate who can start today? I’m really not sure what the concerns are.
  17. Any major club decisions will include him. How long do you think it takes to discuss important matters? Even if we were to sack Goodwin, which if done this year would financially would be a terrible decision, do you seriously think he wouldn’t be involved? Do you think he can’t meet stakeholders before his official start date?
  18. I’d be very surprised if he isn’t spending time each week working with the club and its stakeholders. I’m guessing he’ll be at our matches pretty regularly.
  19. Slightly different as Chandler takes him part side on and slams him into the turf. Curtis is completely from behind. Very hard for Curtis to change anything when the player immediately falls to his knees propelling them both forward.
  20. Time to start moving up that ladder
  21. He'll need another preseason working his backside off to get back in his best shape. I presume to club know this. If he can't do this we should trade him.
