I have to admit I'm jealous of the dockers this year death riding the pies first pick. Early days but it looks like it will be a juicy pick for them.

people have forgotten that the Elliot mark for the first goal clearly bounced into his arms. an obvious non-mark. reckon the out of bounds goal squared that injustice so pies can't complain on that front. they did get stitched by the umps though.

lions and pies to fall out of top 4. reckon Swans, Giants, Carlton and ourselves will fill the top slots this year.

Every year st kilda are talked up. they never deliver. they've got some good players in King and Marshall and they are well drilled by Lyon but they are a 6-8 team at best.

Pies will miss finals. They remind me of Leicester a few years ago when they won the EPL (2016 i think it was). For a season and a half they couldn't lose even though everyone expected the wheels to come off at any moment. The season after their miraculous win they crashed and burned finishing 12th.

some of saints kicking out of defence is kamikaze. got away with one earlier but no let off here. really poor. lyon will be going nuts. gifts a goal to the pies which they badly needed it.

last week's selections were heavily criticised. As it transpired they worked out well. maybe the FD know what they are doing and we should back them in. If they reckon is good to go then get him in is my view. no point in waiting.

will be cheering on the saints for sure. but won't be a casual watcher of their games outside of games like this. Their style of football is eye bleed inducing.

I was there. As I said in my post you responded to if you cared to read it properly. It didn't look like a 44k to me but as others have responded likely because people took cover between the stands, in bars etc. to avoid the sun.

Has slotted in nicely. Goes to show the value of being patient with youngsters. They come on at different rates and it looks like blake needed a little longer to get ready for AFL footy. MFC development philosophy and approach vindicated again.

I was there. didn't look like a 44k crowd to my eye. One of my kids couldn't go because of a clash with a basketball game but i had downloaded her ticket. how is the crowd number determined. tickets sold or numbers through the turnstiles.

The big surprise of the season so far is how poor the Lions and pies have been. I don't think the pies are top 4 material and the way the Lions have gone wouldn't surprise me if they miss top 4 as well.
