I don't think we're on the slide. i expect us to bounce back and play finals next year and hopefully go deep. We took the hit and i think are better for it in the long run Chaplin stepped into Birch's position and excelled. she's 22. We didn't miss Libby at all. West was missed for sure, we could have done with her strong body but she is a limited footballer if we can draft a big burly midfielder with pick 2 (assuming Lily leaves for the Suns) and can retain Tayla i reckon we're well placed to have a good crack at the flag next year.

Campbell is too aggressive with his 4th down play calling. Lions fail to convert and hand the ball back in great field position. There's a reason no one else is that aggressive. it doesn't pay off overall. Cost the Lions the championship game last year.

My thorough dislike of them aside, Reid should stay at the Eagles and make his mark there. Repay the faith they showed in him and the time they invested developing him. He can return later and finish his career here. Live the rest of his post playing career here. Leaving to return home after 3 years is just soft.

Tayla Harris is a gun and should not be traded under any circumstances. Our young talls showed great promise, our future is secure, but they are still callow. If we want to challenge in the next 2 years we have got to hold onto her. We have enough young players on our list there is no need to trade her.

Lily isn’t a strong body. She gets tossed around like a rag doll by the bigger midfield brutes. shes depth. If we get a good pick and she gets a good deal with the suns then thats a win win from my perspective.
