  3. that tackle was all the better because it was watson that got nailed
  4. crows seem to have a big height advantage v the hawks defence
  5. If top line players on fat contracts are producing the goods, no one in the team will have an issue Resentment arises when they are not producing the goods.
  6. Players play for the glory. It’s not that long ago Aussie rules was amateur. players still gave there all back then
  7. Shown enough to warrant an extension Should spend some time in the gym to add some bulk. Gets pushed out of the road too easily
  8. We lost to the saints and kangas because we are an average, inconsistent team. If we have an off day we can be beaten by any team in the league. You’re welcome
  9. Gerard Wheatley is such a dip [censored]
  10. Great news and well done to the club for getting this done
  11. didn't realise we had so many pearl clutchers on the site
  12. i'm not sure having jamarra and clarry together is a good idea.
  13. If the club didn’t do everything it could to keep kossie and he switched to freo, lit it up for them we would burn the joint down I’d rather not hand out long contracts either but the market dictates these things. You cannot let a generational talent like kossie walk out the door because you couldn’t agree terms. That would genuinely be small club mentality.
  14. i think he is definitely worth it. not much more the club can do. up to kossie now
  15. its not luck. i can't believe posters keep saying this it is better skills and better execution why do you think pies keep winning close games and we keep losing them
  16. storm in a teacup
  17. BDA replied to jnrmac's topic in Melbourne Demons
any chance our mids could kick the ball to our forwards advantage
  18. Clarry showed great desperation. He extracted the ball on a number of occasions yesterday like the Clarry of old. He's definitely on the right track again However, he is not and never will be a good user Compare Trac to Pendles or Sidebottom. He's brilliant at getting his hands on the ball but panics way too easily for an elite footballer. and he's not a good user either Pendlebury is an amazing player. time seems to stand still when he has the ball in his hands.
  19. We couldn’t get the job done. When it was there to be won we fluffed it. Get games into our youngsters for the rest of the year. I want to see Adams, Laurie and jeffo get an extended run of games to see what they are made of
  20. The free kick to Cameron for head high when in fact he took rivers legs from under him. That was a beauty
  21. nearly every post in this thread mentions the umpires
  22. don't be expecting anything from the media they are there to spruik the product and make money, not to hold the AFL to account its the same across the entire media landscape
  23. how has he lost fritsch. he kicked 6 goals under Goody in a grand final
  24. he's more likely to get suspended again
  25. i think the fourth umpire has actually made things worse it actually increased the chances of poor decisions because umpires situated down field are overruling umps closer to the play but the interpretations is where the real bias shows through insufficient intent, HTB and pushes in the back, sometimes given sometimes not. and always seemed to favour the pies today
