The DeeBrief boys having a very Honest Deep Dive
I had low expectations but i didn't think it was too bad. the guy in the baseball cap not bad. the other 2, I wouldn't pay too much attention to. They discuss the same issues we do here. Some of their prescriptions though. Why anyone thinks Nathan Buckley is the answer is beyond me. Took a premiership pies list and drove it into the ground. Plus he's been sitting on a couch for 3 years.

Time to scrutinise Alan Richardson
players need to respect their coaches respect comes from a clear game plan and clear role instructions and the ability to instil belief and confidence in that plan part tactician / part communication skills / part psychologist the psychologist part is the hardest. the coach needs to know his players individual personality and psyche because that will inform the best way to manage and motivate them individually.

NON-MFC: Round 18
Vossy looking very forlorn. his days are well and truly numbered still, if he's still interested in coaching, I'd like to give him responsibility for our midfield next year. did a good job with Port in that role.

NON-MFC: Round 18
if any team deserves to stuff up touching it for a behind on their own goal line its Carlton

Time to go Goody?
we're a very dysfunctional club at the moment temporary CEO and president Richardson, Goody, chooco, line coaches all unperforming senior players under performing Tim Lamb trading no good plenty of blame to go around outside of JT recruiting and some promising players, there's a lot of work to be done

PREGAME: Rd 18 vs North Melbourne

Time to scrutinise Alan Richardson
If the club is serious, he should be the first to be shown the door.

State of Origin
there doesn't appear to be any great desire for this. As a naturalised Victorian, i can't ever see myself cheering on the likes of Dangerfield and Daicos when they play for vic.

Trade Targets
Lever trac clarry and fritsch have trade value, albeit we will have to eat some of their salary to move them on May and viney are too old and have no trade value, so better to keep around to lead the youngsters Max is untradeable because he's a legend and busts a gut all the time. Plus we have no ruck back-up. He would also be great to mentor our next ruck (whoever that might be) I'm not fussed about what we do with lesser lights and depth players. we should do what we need to do to get some picks to replenish the list and get us ready for the next cycle of success

Time to go Goody?
not sure what you all expect goody to say in these press conferences and i don't know what you all expect to get from a press conference anyways. the AFL obligates the coach to speak to the media after the game. The aim should be to tell the media as little as possible. all they want to do is sensationalise so give them nothing don't tune in to press conferences if they bother you so much

PREGAME: Rd 18 vs North Melbourne
$4.30 odds on a team that pumped us by 10 goals earlier in the season makes no sense at all i'm not a betting man but i'm very tempted to lay a bet

Rival Clubs Monitoring Jake Lever
The top liners under consideration would be Clarry, Trac, Lever and Fritsch
-
Judd McVee contract
he has regressed this year. injury and lack of preseason a big factor though. It would be great if our players re-committed without fuss but that doesn't seem to the case for us If he's uncommitted the club might have to make a hard call. We've handed out contracts recently and fair to say we have not received value. I don't want to overpay or provide a long term contract to someone who has had a poor season.

Rival Clubs Monitoring Jake Lever
didn't think he was a crack the sads kind of person

Trade Targets
you'd have to seriously look at any offer that was received for rick lever. I think his ankles are stuffed so could be in the best interests of all concerned. i wouldn't like to lose Judd McVee at all. Classy player struggling to find form post injury. but i'm sure he'll come good with an injury free preseason
- What a relief, we WERE officially robbed
