So the CEO of a footy club shouldn't talk about footy He doesn't have any experience securing home bases so i guess he shouldn't talk about Caulfield either He wouldn't be involved in actual list decisions other than as part of board ratification. He's a good communicator though. And we have not had good communicators for a while. I think his role here is delivering the message to the membership. which is perfectly fine for the CEO to do imo.

I haven't felt any hate towards Lions seeing as they stopped the likes of pies and cats from winning flags but it stinks seeing them add a KPF and a quality ruck and still have points for another promising academy kid

let’s revisit GWS “wow” trade period this time next year to see how it went. There’s a reason they picked up clarry for nothing. I’d give us an A. Humphrey was always a long shot. We’ve cleared the decks, 3 1st round picks, swapped clarry for Steele and found some much needed support for max. If JT nails those picks we’ll look back on this trade period as the one that set us on our way to flag no 14.

Well then the club should hold Trac to his contract or push for humphrey neither of which they seemed prepared to do

Pick 7 and 8 is a good return I would have preferred Humphrey but looks like we won’t force that issue 6 first round picks in 3 years is a very solid base to work with. It’ll be tough going next year or 2 but we won’t be bottoming out when tassy joins the comp.

Every club knows what Clarry has been up to and what his problems are. It's no big secret And they could see with their own eyes how he was performing on the oval. Do you really think we could have pulled the wool over everyone's through some stage managed exit If it was just a case of a falling out between Clarry and club that we should have managed better, why aren't all 17 clubs lined up to take advantage Our stuff up was not trading him last year

Who on our board would have had the standing to challenge both the CEO and head coach over a decision like this Roffey? i doubt it. Brad Green? Possibly And it's no surprise to me that Clarry gets his marching orders once Goody is out of the picture

Goody was his biggest supporter. Pretty sure if Goody was in favour of a trade last year, clarry would be playing for the cats now

I'm not sure why posters are surprised The talk in the media was a chunk of his salary for a late pick We let the Clarry problem fester for way too long. This is the price we are paying so we can reset under King I'm not Pert's biggest fan but turns out he was right last year. Overruled by goody unfortunately
