Farewell Clayton Oliver
The world needs caring people like you and others Luci. Don’t take my response the wrong way. I understand this point of view. To be clear, I don’t wish him any harm. I don’t wish any ex-demon any harm. I hope he has a long and happy life. Ditto Trac But I don’t think it’s a coincidence that all our female posters have a strong mothering instinct towards Clarry. The big child. He can’t control his impulses poor thing. He has a condition. The rot set into our club when Clarry went off the rails in 2023 and carried on like a spoilt brat. He turned the club upside down. That was the start of our demise. As much as he was a huge part of 2021 he is also a huge part of why we have massively under-achieved since. Brendan McCartney knew what was needed to get the best out of Clarry. It wasn’t all about care. Some hard assed truths and tough love were needed a well. It seemed to work for a while That we should somehow feel sorry for a millionaire who has to move to a new city, get used to a new environment etc. just blows my mind. He has so many advantages plenty of other 28 year olds don’t have. I have no sympathy for him. He’s 28. He’s a grown man. He has challenges. But who doesn’t? He should sort his [censored] out and start behaving and acting like a man. Good luck GWS

I don’t think removing Goody was easy at all He was our only living premiership coach He was very close to this group of players He was contracted so meant a financial hit to sack him Easy thing would be let him coach out his contract and hope he turned it around Also, highly doubt Clarry gets traded while Goody still the coach He had to be the first domino to fall

Bailey Humphrey
I want to see as many MFC people in Bailey's ear as possible. Make sure he feels the love because it would be phenomenal if we could trade for him when he leaves the Suns.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
Who cares what he's up to. He's GWS's problem now.

I think removing Goody was the hard part. the rest fell into place after that

He's made a good start. Much better communicator than his predecessors But clearing the decks is the easy part Ultimately the club and his tenure will be based upon success on the field

A lot of mayo on the Jack steele story. Too much for my liking I like his communication style but he needs to be careful not to over do it. Reckon it'll start to grate. i don;t think we need to hear too much more from him for the time being unless its Caulfield related. Overall a good article though

I liked Steven May's response. Committed to earning his spot and mentoring the kids coming through doesn't sound like the words of a culture killer to me

AFLW: Rd 10 vs Sydney
Won't be able to watch the game today due to kids basketball games (1.05pm is a rubbish timeslot) It'll be tough again but with our ins and home ground advantage we should win Go Dees

AFLW: Rd 10 vs Sydney
Port have done us a favour beating the Hawks Got to win this game tomorrow if we do, we're in with a great chance of second particularly as hawks still have North to come

Farewell Christian Petracca
The last 2 years demonstrated quite clearly why he was not captaincy material. When the going got tough, he headed for the exit. He gave great service and we hit a very good return for him so he owes us nothing but he was never a potential captain.

Letter from the CEO Post Draft
So the CEO of a footy club shouldn't talk about footy He doesn't have any experience securing home bases so i guess he shouldn't talk about Caulfield either He wouldn't be involved in actual list decisions other than as part of board ratification. He's a good communicator though. And we have not had good communicators for a while. I think his role here is delivering the message to the membership. which is perfectly fine for the CEO to do imo.

All hail the death ride! I don’t think they’ll make top 4. Maybe a 20% chance. I reckon they finish 5-7 Them Missing finals would be great Anything more than that would be dream world

Grading the Trade Week
I haven't felt any hate towards Lions seeing as they stopped the likes of pies and cats from winning flags but it stinks seeing them add a KPF and a quality ruck and still have points for another promising academy kid

Farewell Clayton Oliver
I hope someone at GWS reminds him to bring his boots for the first day of preseason training

Grading the Trade Week
let’s revisit GWS “wow” trade period this time next year to see how it went. There’s a reason they picked up clarry for nothing. I’d give us an A. Humphrey was always a long shot. We’ve cleared the decks, 3 1st round picks, swapped clarry for Steele and found some much needed support for max. If JT nails those picks we’ll look back on this trade period as the one that set us on our way to flag no 14.

Letter from the CEO Post Draft
Not enough communication Too much communication you can't win I'm just glad we've drawn a line under the ridiculous soap opera that our club has been for the last 2 years. Between the board suing ex presidents, Pert's best culture he's seen in his time in footy (what a joke that was), train wreck interviews and star players causing trouble i'm well and truly over it. Onwards and upwards with Kingy, Maxy, Kossie and the new generation Go Dees
