Leadership and Stability
Lever is the stand-out. Viney an option as well. Reckon he has matured over the last few years and would be a good captain. Certainly leads by example. I'd leave Trac to focus on his footy (and in particular his goal kicking)

Huge game this weekend @layzie. Cowboys had a nice tune up against the hapless buccaneers. They’ll be dangerous opponents. 49’ers definite favourites but I think there will be just 1 score in it. Hopefully we're not relying on Brett Maher to kick the winning field goal. Worst case of yips I've ever seen from a kicker last week. Bills v Bengals should be a ripper as well. Eagles and Chiefs to win comfortably.

I don’t think there’s a disconnect or anything to worry about but It would help if we had a home base rather than having each team in separate locations

Not ideal but he will have time to recover by Rd 1. Hopefully not a bad hammy- Daisy Pearce calls time on a stellar career
Look at the comments after the HUN article on her retirement. The HUN disabled the comments section on AFLW related articles a few years ago (i was surprised to see comments section enabled on Daisy's article) because most of the remarks were absolute rubbish. Mainly trolling but some were from legit posters with an 18th century outlook.- Daisy Pearce calls time on a stellar career
she should have been all australian last year.- Daisy Pearce calls time on a stellar career
Reckon she'll coach the AFLW team at some stage for sure.- Daisy Pearce calls time on a stellar career

Bowing out as the captain of the reigning premiers. Very fitting. What a champion she is.- Daisy Pearce calls time on a stellar career

As with dogga I would much prefer if he stays but nowadays players come and players go. I’m not too emotionally invested. He has everything he needs to succeed at the dees. If he leaves try to get the best deal we can and move on. all that said I reckon more likely he stays but if he hasn’t signed by king’s birthday then his departure far more likely- Training Ground?
So the government is bringing suggested locations to us. Is this how it normally works? Would have thought we identify the location and then engage with stakeholders. I don’t like the fact we are reliant on the government to this degree. What incentive do they have to act promptly or to care at all. thanks for the intel OD. Sounds like this thread will run and run- Not AFL
I’m a sports enthusiast. I can pass the time watching most sports other than some obscure Olympic sports like curling. Baseball is another that I can’t get into. seems odd to be grousing on a sport if you don’t like it. When it comes to soccer I think people are threatened by it. It’s the world game and with proper oversight can grow much bigger in Australia. It won’t displace AFL, there is room for both in my opinion.- Not AFL

Aussie rules is a great game and so is soccer im not sure of the historical reasons but soccer the world over attracts thugs and hooligans. It’s unfortunate but won’t change. best atmosphere I’ve ever experienced was the bombanero in Buenos Aires to see a Boca juniors league game. Maradona was there. The stadium was shaking and the chanting was nonstop all game. The most uncomfortable I felt at a game was in the San Siro to watch United in the champions league. I was sitting too close to the Milan ultras. I was glad when the game was over and I got away unscathed. - 2023 Injury List
