McKay and Curnow are the best KPF double act in the league by a long way

The umpiring is very erratic in ALFW but at least the bad calls go against both teams evenly. There is no obvious bias as opposed to the ridiculous free ride the doggies mens team get from the umps

If its a decision between Thommo and Smith then Smith stays in for mine Thommo's form is patchy. Give him a spell at Casey to find his sharpness and confidence. Longer term i think Thommo is a better player but on form Smith deserves to stay in

There is a pattern emerging when discussing Kozzie He has a low possession game, a certain cohort on DL emerge questioning his performance In response his stat sheet is produced outlining the tackles and pressure acts clearly demonstrating his value to the team Most notable example is after the GF. Wasn;t until his highlights were produced showing the shepherds, blocks, and 1%'s that the penny dropped for some DL's I wasn’t at Fridays game but witnessed his performance against the Suns. He hustled and harried all game. The Suns defenders did not get a second of peace all night. To his detractors, he is playing a role and playing it well. Please look at the tapes.

I don't see any reason to change this team. Shelley Scott has been down on her usual high standards this year but she still competes hard and at least halves contests in F50. Similar to TMac in the mens team. Plays a role. She stays in The Crows are brutes around the ball in particular Marinoff and Hatchard. We have to try and match them as best we can and get on the outside. Bannon is the key. If we can find her in space she will burn off the Crows defenders It will take a mighty effort to win this one but i have faith

I thought it was a disappointing crowd. There was plenty of Lions supporters there as well, reckon the Dees contingent was no more than 4,000 having the mens game the night before had an impact. I couldn;t go to both so chose the womens prelim but most would have chosen the Essendon game. Pity it wasn't played on a weekend when the men were inter-state

The lions are the better team. Much cleaner particularly in the second quarter. Resolute defending has kept us in it so far. Lucky to be level imo. We have to get to grips with the conditions in the second half and handle the ball better otherwise it’s game over.
