Tommo has dispelled the doubts about whether he was still AFL standard. But he is still behind Petty unless Harry has a serious loss of form. Great to know Tommo can step in when required but he isn't first choice.

MRO inconsistency is very frustrating. The star player discount is a real thing for sure. However, removing the red and blue goggles, that action should not be allowed. If he connected with Smiths head he could have caused some serious damage. He absolutely deserves a ban. If roles were reversed and Smith barrelled into Kossie like that DL would be apoplectic. Love Kossie but he made a very bad decision. He’ll cop a ban and hopefully learns from it.

Just watched the mini package on Kayo. Plenty of highlights from chandler. Blocking kicks off the mark, goal assists, tackles and slotted a nice goal off his left in the 3rd. only blot was the missed set shot but their were worse misses on the night. You have to reward that performance. He should be given a run of 3-4 games from here.

Daniher and Hipwood didn't look too flash yesterday so no need to rush May back. Give him all the time he needs. Brisbane were slow and ponderous yesterday. we'll carve them up. if Salem ready I'd give him some gametime. Viney should come if fit. Doubt Fritsch is ready. And given its a foot injury lets be cautious.

7 goal win, stress free final quarter and a rousing rendition of grand old flag. a thoroughly enjoyable night at the G Tommo solid, Chandler worked hard and made some valuable contributions and McVee was steady. Incisive ball movement and F50 play much much better than last year (no dump kicks to the pocket thank christ) Still plenty to work on. the first 10 mins of the second quarter was very untidy. We went to sleep and could have fallen well behind if the doggies kicked straight but thankfully Max and Trac got going and we never looked back. Kossie is a star. Hassled and harried the dogs defenders all night. A real livewire. Pity about the likely suspension but we've shown we can handle absences. Great to have the footy back and great to get the season started with a win. Go Dees!
