We've played the Lions, Crows and North. With ourselves that's the likely top 4. The only other top 8 side we play for the rest of the year is the Doggies and they've had a soft fixture so far. They're a borderline finals team. Plenty of opportunity for us to improve our percentage If we avoid injuries and maintain half decent form we should win all our remaining games. Hopefully the Lions drop a game or 2 along the way (they still have North, Crows and Collingwood to play) The one player we can't replace is Harris. If we are to win it this year she will be to the fore. West has been a revelation and Purcell excellent. They have added much need grunt to our engine room. We're in good shape

24 hours seems like a very short timeframe to expect a response. Why the big hurry? But you would also think there are lines of communication if journalists want to contact AFL clubs with stories of such concern to their head coaches. I'm sure Clarkson and Fagan were contactable but also think you need to give longer than 24 hours All by the by now, the story is out there. I'm looking forward to hearing all the details

I feel very conflicted towards this grand final In the not too recent past I always watched the granny with mates or family, had the BBQ going, beers flowing. We were never too close to making it so didn't feel any sense of resentment towards the teams playing. I was able to watch neutrally Not the case this year. I know we were good enough to be there. I kinda begrudge both these teams. I don't think i can watch and enjoy as a neutral. Not this year

Or Larkey at North if Clarkson can't disentangle himself from the Hawks racism report. Will throw North back into chaos which we should try to take advantage of (i know. I'm a horrible person)

I don't think this news comes as a surprise to anyone. We were obviously banged up I hope the boys get a proper rest, get a good preseason in and come out fit and firing for Rd 1 2023

Delighted to see Goldie back in the side and interested to see how our forward dynamic will change with Duffy in the team Carlton no great shakes so should be able to get back on track after last weeks disappointing showing

He's been a good servant. If he can get a better deal elsewhere, good luck to him. If he can't I'm happy for him to stay and compete for his spot / provide depth

I would have said the same about Chris Fagan but fair enough if you know Adem

Given what has transpired at Hawthorn today I reckon clubs will be doing some additional due diligence on Adem. Make sure he's not implicated in any way with what allegedly took place there

This is very hard to comprehend. You’d have to wonder what this means for the football club in terms of how it recovers. This kind of thing casts doubt over its ongoing survival. What kind of an institution behaves like this? What possible rehabilitation measures can it take to redeem itself or regain confidence that it can be entrusted with the development of young men. I wouldn’t want my children drafted to the Hawks and I’m sure many others wouldn’t either. Needless to say, Clarkson and Fagan are finished. Not sure about the other coaches at the time but if I was the MFC I’d be asking very hard questions of Yze. Goes without saying the allegations need to be proved but the sources are impeccable.

Clarry is a super player and would be a worthy winner But i prefer having a team including Trac and Gawn taking votes off Clarry than Brisbane, Carlton or Golds Coast where the stand out player has no competition meaning the team is weaker. I'm sure Clarry feels the same and reckon he's much more disappointed by the limp straight sets exit than missing out on a Brownlow
