Salem 21 disposals half way through 2nd quarter. Skills spun from pure silk.

That bump on Oliver has to come under scrutiny. If Dangerfield copped weeks that surely has to too.

Jeez Richmond applied some serious heat - we stood up pretty well in the end
Hoping our fitness can see us going the distance. They really seemed to have a lot at contest after contest that quarter.

Feels a bit like the 200 GF at the moment. Coming up against a tougher, rougher seasoned opponent.

Did that Richmond grub just punch Kozzie in the groin?

Doing a good job of clawing back into this the last few mins.

How late are the Tigers forwards with the arm in the back of a defender's head?

Excellent excellent work by spargo.

A fascinating sub-plot tonight for me is how Pickett, Jackson and Rivers perform on the big stage in a big occassion game against the best opposition...
Go boys, reputations are built on nights like tonight.
Kozzy has seemed to really love playing in front of crowds these early rounds after last year's situation. I reckon we might be in for a treat tonight.

Absolutely chucking it down now. Hopefully won't ruin the spectacle of tonight's game.
Hopefully this is the heavy bit and it clears up in the coming hours.

Hawks supporters are not all that unlike Melbourne supporters (as much as some here may hate to admit it). Very similar demographics, up and about when they're doing well but very quiet otherwise. Tigers supporters have always been nauseating: if not for their hyperventilation when they were crap then for their "GOAT" rhetoric post-flags. Theyll never let anyone live down this four year stretch. And if they win it this year well then god help us all because they may well be the GOAT.
Win 5 flags in 6 years, and 6 flags in 10 years, like we did* then they can frigging talk.

Would we even have a club to rave about this year if Jones had've chased success during our dark years? Probably, but I shudder to think where we'd be at.
300 games is a huge milestone - particularly for MFC. He's outlasted many titans of the club. Well done and congratulations Chunk (presuming nothing untoward happens on the training track or selection table this week!).

Dogs percentage going to be pretty epic after 5 rounds. Ugh.

I saw this on the Brad Hill thread on Bigfooty and just had to post it.
This is possibly one of the worst individual efforts I have ever seen, and it's a very good example of why the Saints loss to Richmond means nothing in the context of the ANZAC Eve game. No one in a Melbourne jumper is going to do this next week, that's for damn sure.
How much are they paying him again??? So glad we went for Langdon instead.

Kozzy generates a level of excitement when in the vicinity of the ball that I haven't felt since Jackovich. His ability to recover his footing, his creativity, his physics defying movement, finding the goals - scintillating stuff.
