  1. People said the same about Oliver too.
  2. Father-son Hawks prospect stars in Draft Combine testing
  3. Good chance we have a serious look at this kid with pick 3. Potential father-son for Hawks, but could be they can't match our bid possibly, pending their other trades? (Not sure how that all works sometimes, as the rules seem to change every year). Quick, hard at it kid who can win his own ball but also be effective outside the contest and going forward. Anyone know anything more about the bid-matching etc in this scenario?
  4. They'll be paying at least some if it either way, Jay Clark reporting this morning that if a club picks him up they may get him for as low as 200k per season.
  5. Yeah that's what that bit is about, just wasn't able to copy an paste the whole article (we're not allowed to). I don't think he's going to be traded, but the talk still just gives you that little bit of doubt I guess.
  6. I'll quickly put in a disclaimer at the start to say I'm not implying we should go for him, just more opening it up as something the club may consider. Daniel Menzel is currently out of contract with the Swans as they try to balance things out for the impending Daniher trade. I personally would be a probable no, but what are the chances the club looks at him given we could probably get him for cheap?
  7. “But it’s what it’s going to get done for and maybe how it’s going to impact other trades in this period. Bradley Hill for one and Angus Brayshaw’s name continues to be mentioned, whether that’s right or wrong. “He’s a contracted player at Melbourne, but it just seems like Freo potentially could still be keen for him if the right deal comes up. But it might be a long way away.” The Brayshaw link that just won’t go away as a Dockers-Demons deal looms
  8. Kelly deal has already been done, albeit not officially. So won't involve us.
  9. Why would it open up that possibility? Weid re-signed only a few months ago, and what would Collingwood trade to us? ATM their first pick is 35.
  10. Would 100% make sense for this to possibly relate to Geelong and/or our pick 3. Haven't heard anything about that though, just that it's a real possibility to happen.
  11. Rumour starting to grow legs that Gaff could very well be traded this year. Not sure with whom or for what, just heard it's a genuine possibility.
  12. In case anyone was considering it, Gary Ayres has re-signed with The Borough for 2020 so won't be re-entering the AFL ranks.
  13. Men's team: Gosch's Paddock Fuschias Women's team: Gosch's Paddock Daisies
  14. Feels like it doesn't it? But points wise, 12 & 18 is worth more than 3 (by a little bit).
  15. Geez I hope not, we need all the strategy help we can get.
  16. There's too many moving pieces to try and say that's what will happen though. With bids being matched or not, with the AFL bringing in new 'rules' about parking and trading picks, the leftover points deficit etc. Whatever happens, I still think us splitting the pick is a high possibility, and given our needs and Papley's 'uncertainty' it's a deal we could pursue.
  17. Points wise, 12 and 18 are worth slightly more than pick 3 I believe.
  18. Yet that's where he's played for a team that has played finals 4 years in a row, including the GF this year...
  19. Trade pick 3 for GWS 12 and 18, then use pick 12 for Papley, 18 in the draft. (Should we be able to convince him to come to us)
  20. “I love playing on the wing. Obviously you can get pigeonholed on the fat-side wing but Goody has specified being around the ball at the stoppages as well. “I’m a big body and I love being around the ball and using my frame. “That’s exactly what he spoke about when he caught up. It’s one of the reasons why I’m really keen to come to the club.” ?
  21. "ADAM Tomlinson will play for Melbourne for the next four years after signing with the Demons as an unrestricted free agent on Monday." Inaugural Giant joins Dees as free agent
  22. Yeah I like that lower on the ladder idea, makes a lot of sense. At the moment some of the lower clubs are being shifted down the draft order due to free agent compo.
  23. I can understand why the don't make it available though as it would be easily manipulated. Players would be getting VERY specific contract offers.
  24. John Barker has re-committed to the Blues so can cross him off the list now.
  25. The Tomlinson reply is still there and it was "liked" by a few MFC players (including McKenna), so thinking it was just jest.
