  1. Lever looking unhampered in movement but Petty a little unconvincing. May has a spring in his step and looks to be gliding over the ground…
  2. Colt as his namesake, breaking tackles and looking powerful.
  3. Gus I full contact tackling drills - doesn’t look concerned one iota.
  4. Choco had a crack at the umps in some tackling drills telling them to pay frees as they see fit. “ we are paying you guys to pay em” he yells.
  5. A fair turn out today. I’d say close to if not over 150 fans.
  6. Got here late. Watching players warm up including umpires. Likely a match sim. Coaches going nuts with whistles. A few errant kicks otherwise pretty clean.
  7. Likely a full knee replacement in the next few years. That knee is bone on bone.
  8. For those that know my style, by default, im glass half empty but objective at the same time :D.
  9. Im also planning to do my inaugural training attendance with my son. I hope its an open session. NEver been to Casey Fields - any tips on where to go and how best we can approach certain players for photos and signatures - im asking for my son :D (that's the cover story)
  10. Do you know if that'll be an open session? Would love to head down with my son before school starts.
  11. And its also another instance of disproportionate media coverage. Steven May says what he says at the BNF and its spoken about for days on end. Yet crickets on this? Absolutely nothing. We get savaged for some reason. what makes it even more confusing is that in a recent survey, Melbourne was about mid table when it comes to teams that other supporters cant stand, so its not like we are more despised by the broader AFL public.
  12. To say, "Im feeling really valued and very supported" is an absolute dig at Simon Goodwin and potentially others. i had thought there was no animosity, but with that one comment i have completely changed my mind.
  13. hardly 12 months. I think you'll find that the moment SIA get off their rear-ends and convene, that time served will be the punishment. We will impose 2 games like every other club. He is [censored] for doing it, but wasn't the first or will be the last to take recreational drugs in-season.
  14. IF we can release Brown and Windsor like that through the middle and off half back. It will change our transition game immensely. Not saying itll happen straight away but having the ball in Brown, Windsor, Spargs and Billings hands going i50 will change our shape in the coming years.
  15. You are right, you wouldn't, but Brendon Maynard would have to get pretty darn close.
  16. I don't think we did at all. We lost both finals due to poor conversion in front of goal and managing key moments in the game. We also were rocked with the hit on Brayshaw, which took the team a while to mentally recover from. 7 and 2 points are not disasters like the media make it out to be. Yes it sucks and hurts and all of that but teams have evolved to outplay us in certain ways and we need to adapt. Finally, you cannot excuse poor kicking. I think we need to do a bit more work on resilience and coping with high pressure situations.
  17. Have you got a GF in Victoria yet? If not, why not and what can the DL collective do to make this happen?
  18. This is really pathetic reporting. I don't think we should be sweeping the straight sets under the carpet, but 'despite finals flops' in the headline conveniently leaves the 2021 flag out of the picture. I mean what the hell is it with these muppets in the media. They dont go after the Doggies nearly as hard despite having a list that cant even make prelims.
  19. Is that a Xmas wish or a genuine possibility?
  20. Maybe not on the injury list, but Kozzy has been managing a groin complaint over the off season.
  21. Was a Hawks supporter until Grade 3. Made a bet with my Grade 3 teacher - who was a fanatical Melbourne supporter - that I'd follow the team that won the H&A game between Hawthorn and Melbourne. Round 7, 1988 changed my life. For good or bad, ill leave that up to you all.
  22. I tell you what, no excuses regarding wet weather footy next year. I don't think they have had more than a couple of dry sessions yet.
  23. Wholeheartedly agree. We all see how one can brace themselves by using hands instead of the shoulder. I think there was an almost unconscious manifestation of intent in his action. Still disgusting was the whole unification of the media bar a few select individuals that supported Maynard and upheld the Maynard is the victim narrative. ill never look at those [censored] the same again.
  24. So i gather Oliver turned up to training today and looked totally gassed.
