  1. Do you ever stop complaining…
  2. The whole ‘mild’ thing has been so misinterpreted. The message was that it was ‘mild’ in the sense it was milder relative to delta. But some knobs ended up twisting that and now we have people saying it’s almost completely harmless, which it is not. On the bright side, on a case-to-fatality ratio, omicron is now less deadly in Australia compared to the flu thanks to the immunity we’ve built up against it.
  3. Not sure why this thread hasn’t been locked for trolling tbh. Bloke won’t elaborate on his claims and always turns the argument around.
  4. Disrespectful? Come on mate, you’re seriously not that precious are you? Sorry, but the logic that the coach is somehow responsible for most/all of the bad things occurring at the club and is barely a fraction of the good things is - and always will be - a silly view. Of course the coach is just a fraction of the workings of a club but you have to apply that to both the good and the bad, not just one. Otherwise it doesn’t make sense.
  5. Wasn’t actually referring to you as the dropkick mate, just some other posters who have been more provocative in their posts (*cough* Dr.D *cough*). There’s also a difference between calling someone stupid and saying they look stupid. But you were alluding to the assistants being the main difference, when in fact it was a multitude of reasons. Those inconsistent years were largely due to an immature playing list which needed time to gel. At the end of the day the coach is just one part of the whole system and putting the performance of such a large cohort on one man is just plain wrong.
  6. Sorry mate, but this stance is heavily compromised. The problem is that the people crediting the assistants as the (somehow) only reason we won the flag are the same dropkicks who continuously potted the coach when we weren’t performing well in ‘19 and ‘20, saying that he was the only reason for the poor performances. This shows a clear confirmation bias, meaning that no what information is put in front of you, you will still find a way to hold the same opinion about Goodwin even if it is blatantly incorrect. So please, if you’re gonna criticise the coach when the team performs poorly, then at least show the decency to give credit to him when we’re performing well. Otherwise people just look so stupid.
  7. If a flag doesn’t convince you that he’s the right bloke then nothing will.
  8. How did it even get out that Mitch Clark pulled a ‘Wayne Carey’ on Martin?
  9. Mate, this isn’t about subjective opinion. That’s fine, everyone’s different. Open slather. But we’re talking about facts here. Which for some reason you’re disputing, assumably because it somehow makes you feel quirky and different. It doesn’t. I mean the 398,000 thing, are you kidding me? That’s a [censored] take, surely. And don’t attack the sources people provide when you’ve shown absolutely none of your own. I’ve lost count of the glass houses you’ve shown to have, mate.
  10. Yes. By other scientists. Through methods such as peer-reviewing. Not blokes like Liam jones who (assumably) has no scientific qualifications. It’s really not that hard to understand.
  11. I think when it comes to vaccinating younger people, the concern/intention is more about reducing transmission to vulnerable people rather to preventing severe illness. That being said, obviously most vulnerable people have been vaccinated but there are many immunocompromised people out there who are still at risk, and most cases are occurring in younger people due to interaction at schools.
  12. Isn’t that one of the old Demonland banners in the background?

  14. It’s still you, bro. I repeat. We didn’t have widespread vaccination coverage a few months ago. We didn’t even have a vaccine at all last year. Hence why we were in lockdown when we had high case numbers. It’s really not that hard to understand mate. Honestly can’t believe I actually had to repeat that. By the way, not everyone who disagrees with you is a “Dan man”. I haven’t even brought him up at all, yet you’re the one mentioning him in every single comment.
  15. I swear you’re just deliberately ignoring the fact that we have majority vaccine coverage, which is the reason we’re not in lockdown this time around. Yes lockdown fatigue was a major issue, but ffs mate, your head is clearly shoved a mile up your [censored] if you still don’t understand that vaccination is clearly the main reason we’re out of lockdown.
  16. If anything, that was free kick for high against Maynard if you look closely
  17. Excellent post. That makes for very emotional reading. Tbh I was unsure whether to put the “most likely” in my post at first, but yes the virus will always exist, and it’s imperative that the hospitals aren’t overwhelmed to the point where no one can get the care they need, like you and so many others have said. Just hope everything settles in the long term. On a side note, will they eventually produce a vaccine that’s both effective against covid and the flu?
  18. There’s a difference between the end of a pandemic and the end of the existence of the virus that causes it. I was talking about the former. The virus is now most likely always going to exist, but will likely eventually become endemic. And of course the pandemic is going to go on for a long while yet, I never said it was going to end soon. But that doesn’t mean it won’t end. All pandemics eventually end. I didn’t say when, because nobody knows.
  19. Mate, pandemics don’t last forever. We’re going to see normal again. Not “CoViD-nOrMaL”, but plain old normal. Those who say otherwise don’t use their brain enough. (that last sentence wasn’t direct at you though).
  20. Things would have to go absolutely [censored]-up next year for that to be even considered a remote possibility. Frankly I’d be surprised if we aren’t back to full capacity at the MCG by round 1 next year.
  21. I think they’re talking about Collingwood mate
  22. Thought that too, but there’s the possibility that the omen meant that 2020 was the last year of the curse, rather than it being the year the curse was broken and we won the flag.

Don’t you think the board would have moved him on already if that was the case? Business governance/management 101. Just stop. It’s embarrassing. Even more so when you go missing and refuse to elaborate thereafter.
