Hi '56. If Oscar is to leave I can see the Hawks being one of the clubs interested considering their overall success in bringing in players to play very specific roles down back. Particularly as he's still only 24 years old. As he's big on his golf it'll just be a short drive from training to Riversdale where I think he's a member.

Don't ask me EO. As soon as I discovered Brayshaw was commentating I turned the sound off on the macpro I'm intermittently watching it on. If somebody has scored one though they usually get to keep the match ball once the game has finished. Don't know if that'll catch on in the AFL however. Maybe CH7 could get BT or some other donut to present it in the rooms after a game.

Yeah, I know, but you know what I mean.

What chance Geelong, Richmond and Collingwood all going out in straight sets ? ?
-
Hawthorn could pick him up to form an impenetrable backline trinity with Chipper and Frosty.

A year extension for Joel Smith may suggest that the club are still confident they can find the right shaped hole for this particular peg. He wouldn't be on serious coin anyway and the worst that can happen is that he plays the season out down at Casey. Hardly the end of the world.

Every government on the planet, whether they be national or regional make their decisions through a political prism. It's just how it is and it's no different with this virus. However, there are three in the western world whose decisions I think have been purely political and when combined with their total ineptitude for the job has seen their people and economy suffer enormously. They are England, the USA and Brazil. By and large everyone else at least seem to at least want to do the right thing, despite getting some things wrong.

Oliver Rumours on Footy Classified
Rab D Nesbitt replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
Wow. That's a great insight into how he sees his career trajectory. Thanks for sharing it on DL. It would be a shame of course if he were to leave after the club being so patient with his development. He's only been a superstar for five minutes in his football timeline to date but perhaps he sees the 2 year extension he penned as being a part repayment for that. The balance will be forthcoming as you say if we can provide him with a talented enough ensemble to reach his goals. -

Hi goodwindees. I don't think we've spoken on the forum before. Were you given any indication as to when during the season this discussion took place ? I guess I'm just trying to pinpoint whether how the team were travelling at the time could have had anything to do with his enquiry ? -
These three boys should probably make the most of the open bar at the B&F tonight.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARLEY BENNELL
Rab D Nesbitt replied to Tinks's topic in Melbourne Demons
It was just last week that Goodie said in a presser that we have to become more ruthless as a club. The outcome of this might be the earliest indication of that happening. -
Collingwood fans remind me of England fans. I'm friends with quite a few as individuals and it sometimes makes me think, geez, maybe I shouldn't be so negative about their team, they're really nice people. Then I see them as a collective unit at a game and know exactly why I should trust my instincts.

So Collingwood are heading to Perth. Should we have a whip round for a get well soon card to Josh Kennedy and Jeremy McGovern ?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARLEY BENNELL

Not sure Jaded but that might be the current starting point for a second breach by a club. I'm sure all of the facts will come out soon enough so we won't be in the dark for long. -

Two conflicting stories on this so far. Best to let things play out and let calmer heads prevail I think. -
Pity Freo couldn't have been this useless when we played them.
-
Given his time again I'm sure he'd turn the other cheek.

I don't see the dogs letting this one slip unfortunately. If they do make it I'll probably cheer them on as my adopted team during the finals.

There was a small enclave of red & blue deep in doggies territory cheering the boys on too Eddie. I'm no fan of the guy but to be honest he's not that far off the mark with his quips about our inner east fan base and silvertail reputation. When not on jobkeeper I work in Armadale and every second car parked on the street there has the little demon jumper sticker on the back window or number plate. They can't all belong to servants and au pairs.

This reminds me of a similar story that had a happy ending OX. In 2005 on the last day of the season Celtic just had to win at Motherwell to win the title. We (Rangers) were also playing away against Hibernian in the capital. Celtic were a goal up with just a few minutes to go and we were also a goal up in Edinburgh. Enter stage left a certain Scott McDonald. He not only scored an equaliser but also the winner, deep into injury time. The day is known as Helicopter Sunday as the chopper that was on it's way with the SPL trophy down to Lanarkshire had to change course mid flight and head east to Edinburgh instead. What makes the day so perfect is that Scott McDonald is an Australian international footballer and he son of a Celtic daft scottish dad that emigrated here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a0-r4b6myvM

I woke up with a sinking feeling today. I feel like we'll still win but it won't be pretty and the dogs will get the job done tomorrow. I've since had my first strong coffee of the day and don't feel quite so bad.

A friend of mine has a youtube channel called Schuey's BBQ if you're interested Josh. He was the brains behind a show called Dippers BBQ Wars that aired on channel 7 for one season. I've added a link below. Enjoy your 2 days off. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdb9JREn6dQ&t=61s

Giants looking more like a misfiring trabi than a ferrari right now.

What they're saying down at Napier Street
Rab D Nesbitt replied to Queanbeyan Demon's topic in Melbourne Demons
I hope we utterly [censored] up Melbourne’s season. We're way ahead of you boys. I almost feel sorry for them if they make it, they’re 12 months ahead of us. On the road to obscurity ? I welcome the chance for Melbourne to kick Collingwood out of the 8. Eh ? You’d have to consider who he is playing on. Kosi ? Maybe Melky. I’d say yes. They know Melky plays for us now ? -
Not a great start but as long as the Giants can kick the next 11 goals we should be fine ??♂️
