Welcome to Demonland - Pick 17
Yeah seems to be the consensus. I only ask cause he seems like the prototype Jason Taylor/Goodwin pick.

Farewell Luke Jackson
The article is from Monday arvo, feels strange if true that no other publication is running with it if true, hopefully it proves correct in the coming days

Farewell Luke Jackson
Anyone know the Canberra Times' strike rate? This is in the Canberra Times, article published this afternoon: "In more good news for the AFL premier, grand final hero Luke Jackson will sign a new deal with Melbourne soon. Jackson, who is contracted until the end of next season, will commit long-term to the Demons. The West Australian believes his future is in Melbourne and he will be joined by his parents in Victoria." https://www.canberratimes.com.au/story/7464063/the-chase-is-on-to-catch-the-melbourne-demons-in-2022/

AFL Trade Period
What did they have to argue? He wasn't getting a gig anytime soon in their midfield & is out of contract.

Welcome to Demonland - Pick 17
Looking at some of the mock drafts, anywhere from mid to late first round. A chance to be available at 17.

2022 Premiership Market
GWS still have a stack of talent but I'm not sure they have the bookends. Phil Davis is cooked, Hogan can't string more than a few games together, Toby Green is suspended for the first five rounds & they've just sent a very serviceable forward in Finlayson packing for a 3rd rounder. The cherry on top is Bobby Hill now on the way out. I do agree Richmond could bounce back but a lot depends on whether they still have the hunger.

2022 Premiership Market
Only side that has made meaningful short term list changes is the Blues to this point
-
Bobby Hill
We have Spargo, Laurie, Chandler competing for one spot. Hill has shown flashes of brilliance but another small probably not on our list of needs.
-
The 'Afterpay' Kings
A little bit. But we wouldn't of have Pickett, Rivers & Bowey out there on grandfinal day if we weren't prepared to do these things.

Farewell Luke Jackson
An 80 year contract but in dog years?

Bobby Hill
3rd round? Giants would want something decent. Has shown flashes.

Welcome to Demonland - Pick 17
Reckon JT loves the lack of exposure. Keeps the gems hidden.

Historically, Carlton's list build strategy of buying every second player on the list gets your foot in the door of finals but falls short of matching it with the big boys. Will be interesting to see how it plays out over the next couple of years.
