Fagan presser was interesting gave no credit to the Dees at all. The closeness of the game was due to their kicking and errors. The second quarter was also nothing to do with Dee’s. At least Goody recognises good play of the opposition. Fagan came across as a real twerp. Also does anyone know what the interaction between Fagan and Petty was at game end. Pretty intense conversation and it wasn’t pleasantries.

Yes we faded but seriously we were given stuff all chance. Beating Lions in Brisbane a mammoth task. There were so many fine lines in this game. The last quarter fade out was expected but so many positives.

That May mark is just indicative of this umpiring. We have stopped

Lever holding the man play on. Don’t like to blame umpires Geez

-
Their kicking worse than us

It flying under the radar but are Dees completing a mini rebuild. Obviously losing Harmes; Jordan; Bedford was not great but was it a deliberate strategy to inject youth into the team. Maybe Dees are foregoing immediate wins for a longer term sustainable list. Players under 22 this week Bowey 21, McVee 20; Windsor 19, Tholstrup 18, Van Rooyen 21, Howes 21, Turner 22, Brown 19. That is a quarter of the team. In fact I think I am right in saying more under 22 than North. Maybe we need to be more realistic in our expectations and things are not as bleak as they seem. I think the worry is that our granite Gawny and Maysie don’t have a lot left.

Whilst not expecting to beat Lions it the way we go about it that mean more. Is it just me or do we have any plan other than bombing the ball in. Nth repeatedly sat back know we had no plan B and then cut us up running forward. Full kudos to the backline it could easily have been worse than five goals in the last. Whilst Fritta didn’t lay a glove the disposal to him and others was woeful. It was all so predictable we rarely break lines and when we do we rarely find space. Surely the brain trust could address this as it so bleedin obvious.

I accept that point about scragging but it his poor decision making when he has the ball and space. He burns his teammates with terrible disposal. It often set up a spring board for the opposition to attack. It is so sad to see a club champion fall to this level.
-
Seriously something got to be done with Oliver and Fritta our ineptitude start with them. Oliver just panic every time he get the ball.
-
Bomb it in run it out rinse and repeat. Coaching non existent
-
Rivers is shaming some of his teammates.
-
Oliver didn’t even look when he kicked that provided the springboard for that goal.
-
Petty was clueless what to do with that ball so just kicked in hope we are hanging on with our finger nails.
-
Fritsch effort was worse than Oliver there is something not right. It completely inexplicable players with so much talent are so bad
-
Oliver cost that goal apalling
-
Their forward line look dangerous we just bomb aimlessly lucky to be in front. Nth can’t his the side of a barn.
-
Pathetic effort by Pickett
-
Reckon before we worry about lions we focus on Nth no gimmee the way where playing. Definitely something wrong at the club that Fred loss was inexplicable. Supporters are mushrooms kept in the dark and you know the rest

With respect we have concussion protocols that are well established and to be followed. You don’t have to be a medical expert to confirm established protocols for treating concussion were followed. It a reasonable question where concussion occurs to ask were the protocols followed. There have been enough serious rib related injuries to warrant established protocols to be established and followed. Whilst doctors do their best they are fallible to just accept their decisions without question put them at different level of all other professions in the community. I would hardly call the AFL ticking it off independent. The court are full of medico legal cases where medical professionals get it wrong. If the AFL in future dont put protocols in place they may well be liable based on the current known risk of this issue. Indeed it not beyond belief that Petracca himself may well legally question the decision made that put him back on the ground. In those circumstances the court would demand full transparency of what occurred.

At the risk of offering a contrary view I agree with his comments. He not saying it was the wrong decision but rather requires an open and transparent explanation of the steps taken to determine Trac health. For one did the medicos check the vision of the incident. Any view of that tape would have made the risk of rib injuries pretty obvious. By extension if it a rib injury and you can’t see it logic would require a deeper scan to be undertaken. As stated by Eddie Maguire a basic CT machine would cost $80k and take the guess work out of this. A small price to pay for certainty rather than educated guess work. Why doesn’t a ground like the MCG have one? The fact that Pies players were questioning Trac and not tackling further undermines the claims there nothing to see here. I don’t see this as a Dees issue but whole of AFL issue.

By the lack of people on this site tonight I think Dees supporters maybe avoiding footy all weekend. Can’t blame them. Brayshaw why do umpires report leave it to MRO. The fact that the camera might miss an incident obviously escape his grasp
