  1. Had the same clubs from age 14 to 30. Cr-ppy cheap Rapiers (which actuallly still hit really, really well). Bought some Mizuno MP32s but couldn’t hit them so now have some circa 1998 Titleist DCIs. TM Sim Max D/3W, Ping Anser and set of Cleveland 588 special Ws at 49/56/60. Probably swap the 56 back to a very nice Hogan 54. The DCIs are waaaay under loft - would love to hit a new cavity. Just practice though - as has always been, and always will be.
  2. Pert and other presidents should ne demanding a royal commission into our constant sending down the highway I agree why is it so hard for elite professionals to kick straight(er)
  3. I played 9 holes at Royal Lismore before work this morning and shot 36 so that perked me up a bit. Recommend finding something. Not alcohol!
  4. All the goal kicking practice seems to be paying off
  5. Just think of the learnings! Soak em up!
  6. I would like to understand how a professional football team can be so bad at core business - kicking Pro golfers more often than not sink putts (choose a distance say 5ft) - or pick another analogy if you think the golf one inapt. It’s just dreadful
  7. Look, I feel like this post needs a requote so the magnificence of its subversiveness does not go unnoticed. Chapeau mon ami, chapeau.
  8. I’d like to see some bunkers and blind kicks at goal over trees.
  9. It’s an absolute travesty this game is again at Kardinia in front of 4 toothless Geelong fans and their mangey dog. #movethegame
  10. I’m interested in the comment that our scoring accuracy is the least of our problems. Had we lost, it would have been all of the problems. “Scoring” can be taken to mean accurate kicking at goal for a better balance between goals and points. Will cost us a game.
  11. Look I’m probably going to sound whingey (dilligaf) but if you cancel sportsman’s nights because 2 of your players have the flu, they should have to pass a rigrorous medical including respiratory illness testing I mean what kind of mid 1800s infectious diseases circus is the afl running when CLEARLY INFECTIOUS Collingwood players can spread the flu amongst the oppo jesus wept
  12. For those not on Insta (which forces you to log in)- what is it?
  13. Still makes me teary watching him. My home ground guernsey has #13, away game has #5, and Anzac premiers one #2. I hope we hold JVR and he salutes a long time in that number. The last holder also did it proud.
  14. I mean that’s awesome. We should definitely rile them up. It’s worked well to date, hasn’t it (cough all duck) I’d rather be like Mavericks sortie in Top Gun Maverick and let the skills and outcome do the talking. But hey, that’s just me
  15. Old school! I still use it! and magnoplasm and Senega ammonia and I’m still in my 40s! Imagine what I’ll be like in my 80s!
  16. Jesus now they’ve severed it off???!!
  17. Real low-rent, indecorous, ungracious trash. Usually these have something where you think “you know, they seem reasonable, could have a beer with them.” Not this mob
  18. This I remember always playing 3-5 shots better in pennant golf than club golf. Same in junior tennis - better tennis v better players.
  19. I tnink the late starts need a discussion. You want kids at the game? Start it at 7.15-7.20. It’s way, way too late.
  20. WHAT IS GOING ON WITH DISPOSALS It’s like watching blokes on a Friday chicken run on the 9th hole after 500 beers. Violent ineptitude.
  21. I am very glad Lagwagon are playing in Bris the night before my bday this year and I don’t have to miss a game because sorry Dees, the neighbours will be stoooooked
  22. Look WCW that’s all nice but I’m going to ask the question on everyones’ minds. Who was the band?
  23. I prefer a pejorative reference to the Quambatook thirds, thanks! Fwd and back pocket u16s. Quickly ended after I discovered the joys of sandscrape golf
  24. Juicy enough to get on board for an emotional hedge
