Lest there be any doubt about what reigns supreme here (hint: based on the AFL’s cack-handed prosecution last night, it’s not player safety or game integrity), it’s money. I’m left in no doubt after hearing of Brownie’s account of a conversation overheard between some afl marketing types last week.

I’m confused about the conflicts of interest here - these have been laid bare through Christian’s conduct and Gleeson’s concern for a player potential missing finals, noting Gleeson is apparently a Collingwood supporter. Oughtn’t our club be raising these concerns?

I agree. I think they’re a huge chance especially if Hogan, Riccardi and Greene and Green get off the leash. Man I’d love to see Greene Maynard Maynard in a football act. Then Cox. Rest of their team, I don’t mind. If they could take out 90% of their supporters the world would be a better place. Really hard to get a read on what the AFL would want here. They need to disincentivise such hits as chook said, plus there’s the litigation, and I’m sure they don’t want Viney conducting tactical Maynards next week and the week like some sort of Exocet Maynard but they’d want a CFC CFC GF. Their lawyer’s arguments weren’t as clinical or forensic in their examination of options, nor did they appear to draw on other options and the training Players must receive in avoiding big hits? Shouldn’t they retain someone or have a couple of go to’s to prosecute these? Woods is a commercial lawyer first and foremost right?

Doesn’t that establish a pattern / intent for him? They’re trained to not do that, the fact that was his instinct speaks to a deeper inclination

The biomechanist’s evidence is going to exclude any consideration of him deliberately turning to bump this whole thing is going to turn on his decision making and his failure to take a safer path I have a bad feeling about this I hope we anticipated this and have someone to provide opposing position

Why would he retract it? Bit of honesty in this world would be super (and currently unknown!)
