And extra protection from the inevitable ear massagings he'll receive standing underneath high bombs into the forward line from our midfielders
-
After the Hawthorn call I'm deferring to @binman So Bin, can we get near WCE?
-
I wasn't I acknowledged that the forwards must improve. But it's clear Clarry's use by foot must improve also.

Training - Tuesday, 14th May 2019

Yes, and interestingly he is currently injured and being "managed" for General Soreness ?✈️ -
I wouldn't bet on it

Only a whisper, but that was the request

I'm not Graeme, just his Mullet Clarry needs to improve his kicking. It's a fact, supported by the stats out today. And granted stats may only tell part of the story... as Homer Simpson says: "people can come up with statistics to prove anything... forty percent of all people know that". I agree the forwards need to improve their system, but Oliver gets heaps of the ball the onus is on him to use it effectively. I don't dispute we wanted Clarry to kick more... now we just want him to hit more targets too. My point, while obtuse, was simply that he'd be better kicking it to someone else laterally than bombing away inside 50 - the stats show it's not working!

Honestly, we're **censored** this week! I don't think I'll even post on DL during the game as it'll be just plain unfair to expect the 2s side that we'll have to field to put up more than an honourable effort and try to be gallant in defeat! Blood the young players, stack the backline, hope for the best

Forwards constantly sitting under high balls, the opposition defenders are loving it!!
-
I'm thinking of going via Phuket... But skipping the Perth leg !
-
Not often aparently! How hard must it be for the forwards when they see him get the ball and have to gues which direction he's going to bomb it??? His kicking against GCS was woeful, particularly hideous was the i50 that grubbed 20m along the ground in the 3rd We'd be automatically better if Clarry was banned kicking inside 50

Suspect you're right tho
-
Do you think I'll have as much trouble finding a flight as for the Prelim ?? ?

Baker to debut...

Has the 6-6-6 Rule Backfired?
Graeme Yeats' Mullet replied to Lucifers Hero's topic in Melbourne Demons
Is it also the kick out changes allowing clearance by defending team more easily? The extra 10-15 meters on the kickouts and the forward teams defending further towards the wing This hurts us in particular with the low quality of our inside 50s and missing some basic shots on goal... -
5 out if our starting back 6, ffs
-
Ridiculous and utterly predictable, so much so I called it in other thread Now watch the 4-5 weeks blow out to .... wtf knows?? ?

Has the 6-6-6 Rule Backfired?
Graeme Yeats' Mullet replied to Lucifers Hero's topic in Melbourne Demons
Same as most rule changes over past (10?) or more years Coaches and players adapt and find new tactics, unsurprisingly there are unintended/unforeseen consequences, inevitably compounded by poor interpretation by umpireS of increasingly confusing rules I've said it before, if only they left the game alone and improved the umpiring of the original game the fans (including viewers/broadcasters) would be much happier and us folks on Demonland would get approximately 43% of our posting time back to use more effectively -
I'm not much of a fan of Omac, but I have to agree that he's done his job the last few weeks. There is no way he'll be dropped until May and Lever are in and playing good footy and well supported by Jetta/Hibberd/Frost/Salem (or other structure). Even then he could justify his position if his form is good freeing up other options. I'd think good form is more likely if the best back 6 group is on the park with a stable structure performing well - so I'm prepared for him to surprise on the upside Picking single plays of the game where Omac didn't singlehandedly stop an attack OR using gross (and largely incorrect) generalisations to characterise his performance is unfair

This is an excellent post!

Ablett wins appeal. System is broken
Graeme Yeats' Mullet replied to buck_nekkid's topic in Melbourne Demons
Looks far worse, but probably less impact Hard to see him being suspended -
What is he? An Orchid?
-
Had a good game, even if some on here still want to bag him. He's looking more and more confident and competitive contesting and then winning the ground balls. Does need to improve the 30m set shot tho
-
Came back on... so you'd think he's OK Ohhh wait I forgot, 4-6 extending to 10 weeks
-
Probably room for him without dropping Omac
