  1. Need more rumours and not fantasy/wishful thinking.
  2. A very entertaining game. A poor performance by some of our key backs. I hardly sited Salem in the last. I think we need to get a tad more physical and not leave it up to just Viney and May. One of our mids is built like a tank and needs to use his body more. An absolute brain fade by Oliver to give da gooeey that first goal. Kozzie needs to get front and centre and not go for pack marks, or one handed. And hey fellas look disappointed if you miss the shot on goal. I'm ok with the Hibberd free but not the Viney one.
  3. TMc is quick? Runs in straight lines because he has the turning circle of the Queen Mary.... Must admit he does make room in the packs.
  4. Having kicked 47.28 I would have him in the blink of an eye
  5. TBH I didnt think Max could elevate, injured or not. Thats why Gawn/Jacko combo is important, 2 very different styles. (And what is the point of playing Max up fwd if he cant kick. In that facet of his game I thought he was a disgrace).
  6. I always put that down to the fact that you get a much better feeling for the game when you are at the ground as opposed to watching on the telly. Certainly see much more of it.
  7. At least they honoured him with an award, the DCM. Don't Come Mundy.
  8. Looking forward to the game. Quietly confident.
  9. In apropos to the contents of BTs head My local coffee shop has put up a notice 'To keep prices low there will be a surcharge of 1.6% on efts'.
  10. To be honest what caught my original attention was use of the words 'incredibly rare' at winning the GF. IMO 30% chance is not incredibly rare. What the stats also show is finishing on top gives you a very good chance of making the GF
  11. I am indifferent to any differences at Freo
  12. Um er wiki says other wise... "As of 2021, 65 minor premiers have won the VFL/AFL premiership, 43 have finished as runners-up, and 17 have finished third, failing to qualify for the grand final. The success rate of minor premiers winning the major premiership has reduced greatly since 1994, when the finals series was expanded to eight clubs and the benefits enjoyed by the minor premier in bye weeks and double-chances during the finals were reduced and diluted; since 1994, only nine minor premiers have gone on to win the premiership." 65 out of 125 is over 50% so it isnt rare. In recent times it has got harder but you can probably blame Port Adelaide for that.
  13. Does your primary sources include 'Assault on Victoria Park' or 'The Long Retreat from Kardinia Park' both apparently by Jontee? In terms of boo-ya posing I would direct you to the Holy Grail where those chaps of a French persuasion said some unkind words on family members.
  14. Is Henry Bucks still going? (I assume the MCC would have that tied up)
  15. No, probably too intense and perhaps focused on his own performance. Not sure he would say the right thing at the right time. In the past I sometimes thought that Jack was playing his own game, and the team another. (if it was decided soley on courage and giving 100% then yes)
  16. I always thought that St Kilda got absolutely dudded by zoning in that some of their big names in 66 came from what was now Hawthorn territory. I think the argument that it is up to the club to nurture players has some merit, but it cannot be denied that the club had much more success when the draft came in place of zones. Leon Baker I think came from our zone and played in the 84 premiership for Essendon but from memory the Dons picked him up playing in Darwin. So I dont think too many from our country zone got away.
  17. Except for 23 goals - 3rd on our goal kicking list
  18. I wouldnt actually say zero but what happened to the mantra of recruits having to be aggressive contested ball players. Barely. If you consider talls the only one is Harrison Petty. (For another time but are we any good at drafting talls?)
  19. I totally agree with this statement but remember it is our expectations that he has not lived up to. Weid didnt ask to be picked in the top 10. Our expectations and the clubs initial assessment are clearly wrong. For someone who has been in the system for so long I cannot comprehend how easily he is pushed off the ball.
