NOTICED THIS ON THE MFC WEBSITE (finals hub area) Information on Open Training sessions will be available in the coming days. We can't wait to see you out at Gosch's Paddock. Our Open Training sessions throughout finals will be presented by club partner, Beyond Bank. Hope they inform us soon. Could be training at Casey or maybe Gosch's, tomorrow morning from 9.30 am. (Only a guess)

There exist bigotry to lower social classes. I was pointing it out or as it is said, "calling it out". Thankyou Jaded for your sincere apology. That word created a problem for me.

I've seen a line-up outside ticket (tec or masters) offices in previous years. They used to help those who aren't as tech savvy.

It is offensive. All members should be treated as equals. You may think money gives you privileges, (in some cases it does, as many like the closed and locked doors, or opportunities that power and influence creates), but those on high horses looking down on the peasants ("plebs"), wow. I can't believe that status bigotry still exist in this world where diversity is being championed. It is the same attitude as racism, sexism etcetera.

Is it a sign that the long range weather prediction is for a fine night on the 2nd, maybe a premonition, or that the swans at the Botanical gardens were begging for scraps, bullying people eating and were eventually chased away by a "demon" child, an omen?

Trained in rehab with Moniz-wakefield, mainly kicking to each other, though they did several 150 meters, 1/2 to 3/4 pace runs along the boundary and behind the goals. Nothing with exertion.
  8. I am just guessing, I did post a couple of times that today would be the morning. My next guess is next Monday Gosch's 9.30 am and a captains run Thursday week. 11.30 am. The rest, I expect to hear from the club about one or two.
  9. My guess is they will have a practice run down at Casey on the weekend. Hoping TMac gets a run before the serious stuff. Though you never know, they may fast track him with some limited time in the VFL final.
  10. TMac, looked good a couple of times in sims, competing, getting his hands on it, baulking well and passing it. Covering the ground well. Has the same reliable kick at goal. Probably needs some match fitness, but he looked happy and focused out there.
  11. Goody was doing most of the talking. Mathew Whelan was in the goal area where the umps stand, supervising, giving feedback and kicking the balls out for the entire session. It used to be the support staff, so good to see they have an experienced person there. Williams was freelancing, getting around to them all, checking, supporting and taps on the back. He is a beauty.
  12. We need the MCG for closed training. Back to our spiritual home occasionally for a run would be great for the club.
  13. Gosch's is a public area, so is difficult to close. They don't seem to mind spectators, they have been pleasant to me. In the past when they wanted to do some "secret" plays they would ask us not to go in "that" area. Media and camera crews were there as well. My guess is they will use Casey or Port for closed training. Today's run seemed to be about thanking the staff, as the coffee and food truck was out, and they had a meeting with them at the end of session
  14. They were hitting up a leading player.
  15. In the past they had one open training a week. The rest not advertised. Today at Gosch's, the next is anyone's guess.
  16. Coffee is on. Rehab has , Moniz-wakefield and Salem. Light duties, Oliver and JJ. TMac is training with main squad. First drill, moving the ball from the backs in defensive 50 into the forwards to kick a goal. Full field was used, opponents with bibs but no tackles. Now into line squads. JJ is now training with the mids. Semi competitive drills, in two squads. Mids clear the ball from stoppage and the backs defend it. Forwards play with the ball on the arc then pass it to a forwad Into sims now. Dogga and JJ both sitting out. Just got my tickets, woh hoo.

All the good cheaper seats will go to a few. Especially in the areas that I choose to sit, which have limited availability. A shame that. Oh well, up in the nose bleed areas. Possibility that the scalpers may have better viewing seats than the official site.
  18. Would prefer: Round 1: 1 play 8, 2 ply 7, 3 ply 6, 4 ply 5. 2 bottom teams out, top 2 get a week off, based on win and losses and where placed at end of H & A. Round 2: 3 ply 6, 4 ply 5, . The two losers out. Prelim: Winner 3 Ply 6, play team 2 from first round. Winner 4 ply 5, play team 1 from first round. Then the grand as losers are eliminated. Home ground to those higher on ladder at end of H & A. Top 4 really shouldn't play each other until further into final series.

"People in glass houses." Perhaps Zorko's mental health status was why he steps over the line. If he is struggling with mental health issues, it would be prudent to have the VC take over his captain roles. He can play footy and not have to face scrutiny when doing any public and media duties, or lead his team-mates who must all think he stepped over the line.
  20. I'd include home ground advantages, Geelong and interstates. They get to train, on their match day ground as well as get the crowds influencing umps. On the other hand, interstates have to travel about every second week and the derby games are tough games. This year Geelong got the draw and home advantage, without much interstate travel. I feel something has to be done about the lopsided draws, but interstate games and home advantages must also be calculated into the mix, if they are after fairer draws. A floating fixture after they have played each other once is a good start, take into account the other advantages and they will be closer.

Possibly the same time the MFC is training.

Advantages to whoever loses out of Cat and Woods, as they go up against a team with one day less days and coming from the West. (Addit: same amount of recovery days, reacted to LH's error.) Whereas if we or Sydney lose, we or they get a team coming of a day extra, although from the north.

Will the MFC also send out the $5 raffle arrangements for Grand final tickets on the chance we get there?

Last year was a good exorcism of the 1987 Hawthorn game and the curse. Looking forward to this finals series as I get to attend. Will never take a series or even a finals game for granted. C'mon Goody, his team and our players, get us up for a go at Back to Back. Exciting times for the MFC.
