PREGAME: Rd 17 vs St. Kilda
Totally agree, never went into the rehab group (except the first Monday session when it seemed to be about assessment). Was running and kicking straight after playing out the game and at training, when he felt there was a problem. They should have rescued him from himself, slowed him down for at least the first 2 to 4 weeks. Has to be some kind of ligament/tendon/nerve/bone problem. Cannot be a minor hamstring. @Roost it far must be right about not being able to use the after burners, without stressing "it".

Training Ground?
Over the next 15 years, the reserve can expect to score a bunch of new sports and recreation facilities, walking and running tracks throughout, and picnic areas. A new sports hub will feature an indoor stadium and outdoor sports fields, with car parks beneath the pitch, and there are big upgrades in store for the lake and wetland areas, including the addition of an Indigenous heath. This was copied from https://concreteplayground.com/melbourne/travel-leisure/caulfield-racecourse-reserve-looks-set-to-be-revitalised-as-a-public-park-and-recreation-space An indoor stadium would be great to train in, occasionally.

Training Ground?
We have been given the heave-ho out of the City area training. It will be interesting to see how full time use of Casey will suit us? Due to the FIFA Women's World Cup, Melbourne will be based at Casey Fields for all main training sessions throughout July and August. This was posted on https://www.melbournefc.com.au/teams/training-times We are the only club with disruptions, due to us not having our own stand alone facilities. Caulfield would make a stable home that is reasonably close to the MCG. Much better than what we have now. https://concreteplayground.com/melbourne/travel-leisure/caulfield-racecourse-reserve-looks-set-to-be-revitalised-as-a-public-park-and-recreation-space This is the main plan, let's get on board.

POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs GWS
I've noticed that the kicking goals schools methods and drills change week in week out. He appears to have the mindset, that stimulation comes from variations. I reckon he needs to go back to early on in the season when particular drills got results. If I was them, I would get Williams to take over the entire forward line. Let Stafford handle the rucks in the defensive, mid and forward work. That forward structure is not working. When the GWS can get many uncontested intercepts marks, we can't find any separation, we compete in the air for the mark, the crumbers aren't hitting the packs from the right direction or even getting close to getting hands on the ball in space or kicking goals. An afternoon for the smalls, very disappointed in their execution. Backline and defence must be pulling their hair out, as they wonder why the forward zone is not building, buts needs rebuilding (in my opinion). Loved our fight, the desperation and our backs. The mids did well except for the deliveries into the 50. Goody needs to change something.

CASEY: Rd 15 vs UWS Giants
Jefferson has been marking well. Some up the ground, looks like his game is improving.

I heard the other commentator (Oliver Walker-Peel) call her (Joe, J, Gee) Bastiani.

CASEY: Rd 15 vs UWS Giants
GWS came out strongly in the 3rd, we get a goal against the flow and from a backline effort, Schache goals. GWS has lost that domination, though still trying. 69 to 26

CASEY: Rd 15 vs UWS Giants
Woey has started the 2nd half on the ball.

CASEY: Rd 15 vs UWS Giants
He has been on the wing, though pushing up into the half forward area. A little quiet at times, has quality and composure. I also think he has 3 goals up to half-time.

CASEY: Rd 15 vs UWS Giants
Laurie turnsover in the backline, leaving an entry and goal for GWS. Follows up from the centre bounce, with getting the ball, linking to JJ, then JVR who marks in the goal square. 57 to 17

CASEY: Rd 15 vs UWS Giants
Taking our opportunities in this quarter, JVR, AMW, Woewodin. More players getting involved, Dunstan, Laurie, Freeman. Backline still holding up when GWS are trying hard to get back in the game. Casey 50 to GWS 11

CASEY: Rd 15 vs UWS Giants
1st quarter, Casey 3.7. 25 to GWS 1.3. 9 JJ best on ground, lovely running patterns that make time and space. Howes and Turner managing the backline well. Verrall making his presence felt. JVR in and out of the game.

CASEY: Rd 15 vs UWS Giants
Dominating the first 10 minutes. Plenty of forward entries. Driving well off the backline, when GWS go forward. Howes great runs for the handball gets. Munro is even taking umpires out (accidental collision).

TRAINING: Thursday 29th June 2023
Farris needs to bulk up and be a little cleaner with the ball. Verrall, needs more time. They have been using him as a forward at the last couple of trainings I was at. Moves well for his size,

TRAINING: Monday 26th June 2023
No, I mean 4 to 5 days since they played a game, making it 9 to 10 days between games. It appeared to be, extra intensity on the Monday during the longer breaks.

TRAINING: Monday 26th June 2023
Oh, bad luck. Have they headed to NT already, or perhaps tomorrow at Casey.
-
TRAINING: Monday 26th June 2023
Cannot confirm, though they have regularly been down at Casey for the main training this season. My guess would be, train at Casey on Wednesday, fly to Alice Thursday, community events Friday, Saturday, captain's run on Traiger oval, and play Sunday.

TRAINING: Monday 26th June 2023
I've really only been able to see the Monday review training sessions this year. Lately they have been doing an extra 30 minutes on a Monday, but that is due to the fact that they have had a 4 or 5 day break from the last game. I would assume the "loading" is done in the gym, because the training session I've observed don't usually go longer, and the running sessions don't seem to be more extensive. Trainings seem to be about processes and skills. Even during preseason, they were doing a lot more ball work, than other years. If they are pushing players, I'd imagine they would absolutely need individual programs, so as to optimise the work. Training is usually a group/team program. With loading, they need closer analysis, with specific cardiovascular parameters, which is better suited to a gym. The rehabbers have specific field programs they need to tick off. It is usually done with a one on one, trainer and trainee assistance. I assume if the entire squad is loading then there is not enough trainers to assist. Again, the only place where many can be monitored and do specific programs, is a gym. If they are loading it would be happening out of sight, I reckon.
