Weid didn’t play to well in his last game either. Brown had a good last game. Gawn has been disappointing lately and judging by other comments here I’m not the only one who believes it. If someone if playing below their skill level I don’t think they should be retained just because “they’re the captain.” I thought long and hard about my comments before I posted them and I stand by them ?

I’ll never understand why we dropped Brown. I thought we was pretty good when he played. Jetta is out for good. I also thought we bought Jackson back too fast. We really need Salem back. Clarity in for sure. Wiederman is definitely out. Gawn should be warned if he doesn’t do better he’ll be dropped. Tmac, Kozzie, Tracc should stay but will have to train harder.

Kinda conflicted. Know it was a loss we had to had, but would much rather it have been against a top team like Bulldogs, than a dud team like Adelaide. I hope this is a serious wake up call to not get too confident. Maybe they’ll take the next game more seriously. I’m worried that we had a pretty good team even though Salem wasn’t playing. Sad ?

Yes I understand but I can’t justify buying the same bag I could get elsewhere MUCH cheaper, then simply buy a patch and sew it on myself for free. I do want to support the club, but I don’t want a black bag. I’d be willing to pay more for something that looked like demons merchandise. My younger brother got the demons showbag in the mid-90’s. Was a blue sportsbag with the “cheeky” demon on the side. Much cheaper (even allowing for inflation) and 100 times better than this rubbish.

Was lucky to get one years ago. I agree. Off-topic, but I hate the short-sleeved over regular jumper look. It’s just not me

I’d like to see this as a new culture for our fans. No more self-depreciating behaviour, no acceptance of failure, no more badmouthing our club, no more suggesting that we should have merged. I could get used to this

How about a bag for game day? I was thinking a flap with a zip up the top to hold your footy record. A small holder to slot your flag into. Inside a separate compartment for food/one for clothes, scarfs, etc. A holder on the side for drink bottles, cans, etc. I was looking for something similar at the demon shops. All they have is those almost completely black bags that are either too expensive or too cheap. It looks like they just grabbed some random bag and stuck our logo on it. Doesn’t have the demons feel.

If we finish first and don’t win the Gf, st least we can say it’s our most successful season since 1964. Also we finish on top we’re guaranteed to play in our home jumper no matter who we play

The heck with that. Dog have never won the minor premiership and I want to keep it like that. Even if we don’t mKe the gf, that will be at least one drought that’s broken. I like dogs not being on top

I’ll wish them that when hell freezes over. I want the minor premiership not Dogs. If only this had been the result when the season stopped last year.

Mind you IF we make it to the grand final we will have to get off to an early lead. You can’t expect to peg back later like we do. They get a lead like that in the grand final, they will fight like hell to keep it

Sorry to bring this back, but did anyone notice the cuff links in the demon store today? It finally had the old 1989-1994 logo on it that I’ve wanted for so long (along with the others.) Of course being female, they’re completely useless to me, but they’ll make a nice Father’s Day gift. Hopefully to do some more retro gear from this era.

Just got back. Wasn’t to far away from the demonland flag waver this time. As expected I got soaked. Foolishly though “oh this isn’t so bad.” By the time it got worse, there was no room to get undercover. To its credit it didn’t last long and for the most part, went away. Enjoyed the game. Our team just loves giving us heart-palpitations eh? Thought Carlton were the better team in the first 15 mins. Glad we fought our way back. So proud to be at the top of the ladder again. Boys did us proud. Kossie, TMac outstanding. Think Gawn and Tracc need to try a bit better. Don’t think Weid has earned his love back yet. Yet another great win, our first since our best ever season (1956.) So glad we’re being the best team of the league instead of the whipping boys. Glad to be the envy around the office, not the laughing stock.

Are they ever going to get rid of physical membership cards and be only mobile phone ones? I know they are encouraging members to do so by offering benefits. I’m wondering how long until it doesn’t become an option. I really like having a membership card and lanyard and being able to wear it with pride, letting everyone see I’m a member. I appreciate it’s more of an effort/cost to them, but I’d hate to see it go away
