  2. Joe Daniher 0/0/0/0/0 His value taking a huge hit.
  3. Even in the unlikely event that the Dogs lose, do we really want to play the Eagles in Perth? Not me.
  4. Given that the finals are in Queensland, how is the Aints having a greater number of members than GWS going to create more $$ for the AFL? You do realise that channel 7 is playing fake crowd noise? Even if some of the noise was real, a small number of loud voices can make a lot of noise in an empty stadium. And finally, HQ needs GWS to do well for its TV ratings in NSW, which do have some small significance for the AFL's financial future.
  5. Would think HQ would prefer its love child GWS in the finals ahead of the Aints.
  6. Interesting free kick count so far. Giants should be goals ahead.
  7. 6 May 5 Petracca 4 Oliver 3 Langdon 2 Rivers 1 Salem
  8. No, of course not. Please give me credit for having at least half a brain. I'd rank Spargo well ahead of the other two at the moment.
  9. I'm a bit baffled by any selection that leaves both Pickett and Bedford in the side, especially in wet conditions. We saw how well they went in wet conditions on Monday night.
  10. No I haven't. Aint snowflakes chance in hell of us bumping them out (see what I did there?).
  11. So we win both games, Bulldogs win both games (they have Hawks and Dockers), Pies win one game (GC Suns) and we finish .... 9th. Excellent. IN: Brayshaw, TMac, Harmes or Lockhart OUT: ANB, Preuss, Bedford
  12. Collingwood being eliminated in the first week of the finals. Trac polling well in the Brownlow.
  13. 6 Viney 5 Petracca 4 Gawn 3 Oliver 2 Vandenberg 1 Fritsch
  14. Just a group of men who can't wait for the season to be over so they can be released from the hub to go home.
  15. Still the worst forward line in the AFL. Re-arranging the deckchairs on the Titanic. Hope I'm wrong. Maybe Max will kick a couple, although he'll need about six shots. Which might be what I'll need if we lose again.
  16. 6. Langdon 5. Gawn 4, 3, 2, 1 Pass
  17. We have the worst forward line in the competition. Three goals in three quarters, two of those with the wind, FFS!!!!! Ed Langdon has earned his pay, the other 21 should be ashamed to take the money.
  18. I didn't think that we could have a worse quarter than Q3 against the Dogs. I was wrong. I thought Jones would see hold his place until season's end. I was wrong. I thought we would win this one. I was completely and utterly wrong.
  19. Sorry, didn't realise I was chatting with someone who had played the position at an elite level of competition and knows how hard it is, and who can also see "running patterns" not shown on TV. I'm just a long-time, long-suffering fan who has only seen Pickett hardly get a kick for several weeks now. It is well-known that young players are prone to running out of gas in later games if they play continuously throughout a season. That's why there was the word "managed" next to his name in my post. And reading this thread, it appears that most posters agree with me about leaving him out this week.
  20. Pickett has looked totally out of his depth for several weeks. He has a lot to learn. Reminds me a bit of Sean Charles, often threatening but very rarely delivering. Like for like is not always the right recipe for selection. All our midfielders including Harmes can rotate through the forward line and give far better value than Pickett ATM.
  21. Just a great footballer who played a truly great game tonight. And the muppet Richo gave the TV to Trac! Unbelievable.
  22. In: Fritsch, Harmes Out: Hannan, Pickett (managed)
  23. Oliver - last quarter brilliant
  24. 6. May (can't recall seeing a better game from a Dees full back) 5. Petracca 4. Oliver 3. Salem 2. Langdon 1. Lever
  25. Oops, think I went a bit early ...
